I am not overly impressed with Dyanamic DNA and Live 365. Ditto for the 2K Insider. The problem is neither tendencies or inate ability change daily or even weekly. A tendency is an established pattern, i.e., Lebron James in pick and roll plays or Z in pick and pop plays. A player can improve in areas over time, but not simply because they shot the lights out two nights in a row.

Accurate rosters are important for quick games or franchises started well into the NBA season. However, I don't want my roster updated mid-franchise because I want the things that I have done with my franchise to remain revelant.

Tendencies should NOT change daily. That's a poor way to implement this mechanic.

It depends on what "tendencies" you're talking about.

Players have "tendencies" going into a game, but their "tendencies" may change after that game (specific) to that game based on how he was played defensively.

So we'd have specific game to game tendencies, and season (pattern) tendencies.

Too much "tendency" talk.

A player should not change the way they play from one game, which is what they are asking for. They may deviate from their playstyle from game to game, based on their matchups, but in no way should they become a different player off of one game.

I agree if in one game Danny Granger goes off and starts driving in the paint and dunking on every possession his tendency to drive should not be changed a lot or at all because it hasn't become a tendency yet, his game/tendency is to to Drain 3 and 2 pt jumpers while occasionally driving when he sees an open lane but typically he doesn't force the drive and is more of a shooting threat.

But if Granger goes for a whole 3 weeks or a month just driving to the paint and finishing off dunks and inside pts then it would make more sence to change his tendency's according to his changed playstyle in real life.

Rondo chucking jumpshots from everywhere on the court for 1 or 2 games doesn't warrant a complete tendency change.

I haven't played Live yet so I can't speak on it but I'm DEFINITELY not impressed with 2K Insider's rosters at all. Before this week is out I'm going to pick up Live and give it a whirl. Just have to decide if I want to go 360 or PS3 with it.

On the progressive tendency note, it would be a very nice feature to have an evolving Dynamic DNA system for Dynasty mode. Since we cannot update the DNA once we are in dynasty mode, the game should record the tendencies from played and simulated games and give a dynamic dna experience to the user throughout the length of each season.
