"Guys, we're not at E3, and that's a good thing"

Hmmm, im very optomistic about this post from stephenmc on the topic about nba live info coming soon. Could this mean that Live is so swaggered up that they dont need to b at e3 where there are so many other games and the gamers over there arent going to be geared for basketball games. Could this be a glass of refreshing water? I pray to God that I will be blown away at what Live10 will have to offer when we see something in the coming month and there after.

Apparently NBA2K10 will not be there either from what I hear. I wonder why neither company is promoting there game?

Cost saving could be part of the reason tough economic times or rather present their titles in their own terms/ways.

Plus there would be a fair amount of work going in to setting up the presentation and the teams would rather focus on getting the game done.

It's mainly because the game comes out in October like 4 1/2 months after E3, most games aren't ready for show four months before ship date so they keep it out, that goes for 2k as well. They'll probably give us info and screens but i'll be surprised if we get gameplay.

No, 2k series was shown at E3 when E3 use to be in May around the week of the 10th or 11th whenever that Monday was.

              Guys,

I simply said this because it's letting us really focus in on the development of the game instead of having to even think about something as big as E3. I'm happy we won't be there because we have work to do

I doubt live will return to glory anytime soon. They have too many issues to fix, the movement is stiff, almost scripted when they do moves. I would like more freedom and freestyle from them this time around.

I think 2010 will make you regret you said that. I'm sure your hoping for that though right ?

If you look at the flaws of live 2009 and you look carefully at what Beluba and Steph have said in the ask the dev's forum and other places including interviews you would find that a lot of what needs to be addressed was already being worked on months ago. In fact some of it was fixed soon after the release of the game.

While I agree they have lot of work to do. With the team they have assembled and the direction leadership has allowed them to take they could make live 2010 something special this season... truly special. but........ even if they fall short. With everthing they have already told us is being or has been fixed. inlcluding hints at a graphical upgrade live 2010 will be a far far greater game than live 2009 which would make it more than acceptable to call 2010 a return to glory.

                        Yeah I'm speculating but checkit---

Animation issues--super B is on that has already stated 1,000's of new animation added

freestyle/anklebreakers -- not a single animation from freestyle returns this year

rim physics--- they said that was one of the first things addressed.

shot arcs same for made shots-- 2010 will have custom shot arcs for different players with steph updating them though dna if they aren't right

                        rebounding --- being worked on

suction defense --- Super b said that is being worked on

I mean I could go on but its all in thread already. Take all that and what ever they hell esle magic they can pull out of DNA and I call that at the very least a return to Glory my friend... But I could be wrong.

Most of my complaints are right there, so that's great news. I enjoyed Live 09 a lot, and if all this stuff is fixed/upgraded I know I'm gonna enjoy 10.

                              Hey guys,

I know as you saw our press conference you were all thinking the same thing. (at least I hope you were ) "It's weird not to see NBA LIVE here."

While I certainly agree that it was weird not to see our game in the spotlight of E3, it's with good reason, trust me. We're preparing to come at all of you with the freshest NBA LIVE perspective we hope you've ever seen from us.

We will begin the blitz very soon, and won't stop even after launch. It's a new time for NBA LIVE, and we're really excited to show you what we've been working so hard on. We had a long journey ahead of us when we started development, but with the right plan, people, and execution, we really think you'll see a difference. No fluff guys, we don't want to put any of that on you this year. Seeing is believing, and you'll see shortly. But we have a long ways to go, and information will be spread out, but we'll be providing you details that you guys crave through our interaction with all of you on here, other forums and of course, the Inside Blog.
