So, Luther Vandross had this song back in the day that "...if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." Well, I love sports video games and, of course NBA 2k. I prefer NBA 2k only because it is a better overall game. Each year I just compare the reviews, check out both, and stick with one. (Needless to say, it's been eons since I chose Live over 2k).
At any rate, since they're not releasing any information, I'm going to "love" NBA Live now and comment on the video that aired during the draft.
First, I really, really like it! It seems like NBA Live is headed in the right direction. The player models look much better and it seems like they are also headed in the right direction to make the player models animate much smoother. The arena and rim physics also appear to be a step in the right direction. Keep it up EA and you may make a believer out of even me.
Remember, you can have Synergy Sports, Dynamic DNA, ESPN License, blah, blah, blah - BUT if gameplay, animations, and basketball simulation sucks, then the game sucks. Thus far, though, it looks as if you all are headed down the right path. Stay focused and this year 2k will have some real competition.
