    question about Live's ICON PASSING.

I am a 2k guy but I think I may switch soon, and I have a question about Live's icon passing.

in nba 2k there is something about their icon passing that has always annoyed me - 2k does not give you the option to hold down the bumper button to keep the icons visible as long as you want.

in 2k, the icons automatically disappear when you make the pass, requiring you to constantly hit the bumper again and again to keep bringing back the icons. They also have a time limit after you hit the button and the pass icons will automatically disappear about 4-5 seconds after hitting the bumper button, thus the player has to hit the bumper again every time the icons disappear.

Does Live give you the option to hold down the bumper and keep the icons visible as long as you want (even after and during the pass)? This way you can string together multiple icon passes without having to constantly hit the bumper button to bring back the icons after they disappear on you.

I have read that Live allows you to do this...is it true?

cool - this feature alone is almost enough to make me switch. I can't believe that 2k still hasn't given the player the ability to keep the pass icons up as long as they hold the bumper button. i get so sick of constantly hitting the bumper when playing 2k.

Oh la la, passing has always been something that needs to be improved in basketball games. Fake-pass button as well?!?

Depends on how good it tricks the defender.

Well now he has the tech to do it..

..Just imagine a fake pass button tho, it would just add another touch of sim to the game, have the ability to fake the lob into dwight and bounce it around the biting defender

Hey Beluba - I asked a while back if you could add Icon Lead Passing into Live (much like 2k's Icon Lead Passing). You seemed to hint that Icon Lead Passing would be added to Live in 2010 - is that still going to happen?

The ability to choose between regular, bounce, and lob pass while using Icon Passing would be quite nice......

I actually didn;t have a problem with the icon passing in 09. My main gripe with the passing in Live 09 was when you try to swing the ball around the perimeter to try and get an open look, the passes are to "floaty". The game has to recognize that I'm trying to swing the ball and really "zip" the pass over.
