    Free Throws?

I can't remember if this has been covered before, but are we getting analog stick free throw shooting back this year, or are they keeping that rubbish free throw meter from last year?

I sure hope not. I like the meter better but that's what options are for.

You got to believe the stick will be back. This years free throws were the worst pat of the game. I bet the average percentage for online was over 95 percent.

We' re counting on you Steph.

        Re: Free Throws?

I actually prefer Live 09s free throw system to Nba 2k9s... in nba 2k9 you can shoot a high percentage with any player even shaq if you learn when to release. Its less about their actual Free throw % and more about if the user finds a particular release hard or easy or not. In Live you know shaqs gonna be alot harder to make a free throw with , then Chauncey. With that being said the default difficulty was still a little too low. I wish they had a slider to increase it, but overall I prefer Live 09 free throw system.

Mike Wang said that the Free Throws are tuned much better this year but, the mechanic is pretty much the same.

I liked the free throws from 04-05 with the lines going back and forth on the backboard.

lol @ people blaming the high FT percentages online on the type of system rather than the FT difficulty setting

If they're going to go with a meter system, I'd much prefer there being big, horizontal and vertical meters like NBA Showdown and other games of the 90s.

I don't like how the single vertical meter on the top of the backboard is so small. I have to wear glasses to see it when I'm playing at a bar

I prefer the old version with the line going up and down and then left and right, speed/box based on the players FT %.

According to Beluba, it's the same free throw system.
