Your ideas for practice/training in Dynasty mode

    Hey guys,

I know we know nothing yet about improvements in dynasty mode for Live 10, but this thread is simply for us to share our ideas on how we would want practice/training to be implemented...

Let me just start off by saying that I loved the addition of the NBA Academy in Live 09. The amount and variety of drills that were available were great. And I'm happy to hear that the NBA Academy is back for Dynasty mode in Live 10.

What I didn't like in Live 09, however, is how you could only train your team/players ONCE a month (at the beginning of each month if I'm not mistaken), which was really, really unrealistic.

I think that for Live 10, we should be able to practice/train every non game-day if we wanted to. Of course then you'll have to factor in player progression - like how much they should progress during each training session such that it remains at a realistic level. And really player progression is a different animal altogether, one that I haven't given much thought yet. And then there's progressive fatigue - choosing whether to practice/train or rest for the day. But my point is this - let us be able to hit the gym and practice our plays/train our guys whenever we want.

I'm a big playbook guy, and I like being able to practice and run through my plays in-between games. It certainly adds to the immersion factor, that feeling of carrying a team through a whole season of games and practices.

Speaking of immersion, I also think that for Live 10 each team should have a unique looking practice gym. In 09 it looked basically the same - they just changed logos, colors, and banners based on the team.

Additionally, they should also add different looking gyms for when your team is on the road. It would be a nice touch imo.

What do you guys think? Add your ideas and suggestions.

Also, and I don't want this to turn into a 2k vs Live thread, but how was practice/training implemented in 2k9's Association? Just curious...

I think it would be cool if we could only practice during homestands, but couldn't when we were at away games like real life, so maybe in stead of once a month, you would have like 3 times in the month were you have a couple of home games so u could practice 3 times, but other months u might only have 1 stretch of home games so u would only be able to practice once.

I think that would be cool if it was implemented right, and it would add a realistic touch.

I love the idea of practicing plays before the game. What we need though is a play creator to add that element we haven't seen before that further immerses us.

I'd also like to see a drill to have you master each position I.e big guys practice post moves point guards dribble moves and shooters practice leaners fadeaways momentum 3's
