QUESTION about Live's camera angle selection.

I have been a 2k guy for a while now, but it looks like this year I will finally make the switch to Live. But I have a question about Live's camera angles. I have read that Live has very limited options for camera angles (as opposed to 2k's large list of camera angles to choose from).

I read that Live does not even offer a camera that moves up and down the court as opposed to side to side (where the camera follows the players up the court rather than following along the sideline in the traditional broadcast view - in 2k I always used the "2k cam" which was looking down on the court at sort of a top-down 3/4 view.). I am a big fan of camera angles that are kind of high above the court and look down on the court - this allows you to see the court much better and allows you to control your players better as well (in the traditional broadcast view, the court appears too "crowded" and it is harder to see open lanes, etc.).

Will Live offer any camera angles like this? It seems ridiculous to not include various camera angles like this, since it is very easy for the developers to add more camera angles to the game (if they haven't added this yet, there is probably still enough time to add more camera angles before release of Live).

EA should just look at 2k's camera angle options and copy them, if they want to ensure they have enough choices (i also like the "height" and "zoom" options that 2k has).

I play broadcast myself and their broadcast angle is TV perfect unlike 2k, so I'm happy with them. Also Camera angles can cause slow down so That could be a issue too.

I never change the camera angles in any game, they ruin the experience for me. I think the standard default "broadcast" angle plays out perfectly. You see the court really well and the spacing of the players and it feels like on TV.

I hope they have something like the drive camera angle they have in 2k. Its not to far and its not to close to the action on the floor.

Yea I play from the broadcast angle so I really don't use any other angles. I do hope they add automatic zooming like a real broadcast.

I think Mike Wang put all the camera angles in 2k7, so hopefully he'll do the same for Live this year.

Live does have the "2k Cam" don't know who told you that lie, its always been in the game for a long as I can remember. Live also has settings you can alter like zoom and height too.

Here's a video of all the camera angles in the game:

            <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/rSAzz3mIA8s&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rSAzz3mIA8s&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

First cam is baseline high similar to the high cam in 2k

Second is baseline low similar to the 2K cam

Third is press box similar to the iso cam

Just knowing him im sure Mike has added alot of cameras to the game just like he did with 2k. He seems to be a camera guy like alot of you folks are.

I wonder why none of the games offer a first person cam to immerse you more in the game. I'm a fan of player lock so a cam where you see only your footwork and hand motions would be nice. I at least hope Live offers something like the player lock cam in 2k this year.
