    Rim/Player Physics and Interaction

One of the things that really hope they fix this year is rim physics and mechanics when a player is dunking. It doesn't sound like rim is being interacted with at all. All I hear is net. I think this is one thing you see in the NBA (and basketball in general); and I also think that 2k does this really well.

I hope that's one thing they fix.

They said they've taken sounds from real NBA games so we'll see.

I'd really love it if they had a chance to get the Mavs rim in the game thats mic'd up real loud. That would be cool

Hey they got his crossover in there! I really hope the rim sounds come together nicely. Sounds and visuals work hand in hand, if 1 is missing or lacking, you can't help but feel a little cheated out of the experience. I hope Live is extra solid this year. As long as they got rid of those kiddy rims sounds from last year I'm good.

Agreed; I hope this year is much better regarding rim sounds. When it's off, it detracts from the experience.

                    Re: Rim/Player Physics and Interaction

I agree. So far the rim sounds from the trailers and recent videos are horrible. Sounds the same as the fisher price over the top arcade sounds from the ps2 and xbox days. I want everything to be authentic from the rim to the ref whistle blow. This yr could be something special if done right.

From what i've heard in that Producer Interview the Rims still sounds kinda weird, i know they said they recorded real sounds from a game, but do they have every situation, because the rim does sound like Nba Jam or something. And they should make the rim bend and sound realisticly (a.k.a K.G dunk, he should of let go and we should of heard the rim being released) I know you guys want to be authentic but making up your own rim souns wouldn't be bad.

Yep thats a complaint of mine, the rim doesnt sound authentic at all even though they said they got real game sounds. It sounds so fake to me.
