Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
This was my thinking too guys, but look at this clip:
Guys are huched over. When our guys are in a defensive stands, they hunch. When they're standing up, they're not hunched over. You just happen to not see anyone standing up at the moment.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
We have a new team this year that has basically had to build a new game. We can't get to everything in the time that we have. When they're standing straight, it looks perfectly fine. When they're in a defensive position, they look hunched. It's not something we can address at the moment.
If we address anything with the skeleton, we have to redo animations, AI, etc. etc.
If you mess with one thing, you have to mess with the other. Our main focus this year was gameplay and fixing / building it. It had to be. You guys wanted it, we had to do it.Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
The player models look good for the most part, but as someone stated in another thread, they do have an NBA 09 feel to them as far as their body width. Everyone seems to have a wide body. Not sure if the final product looks like that, but it's very noticeable. Their upper torso just reminds me of a rectangle. Ultimately though, they move a lot smoother than ever before. Still needs work though, but solid.Last edited by RICH72601; 08-12-2009, 12:23 PM.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
I'm more disappointed with the latest vid then excited to be honest. And this is an example why I don't like trailers and "still" shots. I think on this video and seeing the gameplay in action from "our" normal playing angle clearly shows that this game has a long ways to go. EA's marketing team can make a trailer or "still" shot look anyway they want, but it's the normal playing angle that really counts. And based off this video from the normal angle of play clearly shows that this game has a long ways to go. The movement and models simply need work. Anyone thinking this game looks great from the recent vid is fooling themselves.
And for the record, I'm not some 2k fanboy, I actually thought 2k9 was garbage last year so I'm speaking from the heart as I see it.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
I could careless if u kids think that latest clip looks promising or not. I really seriously do not care. You kids do the same thing every year for every upcoming release; U get excited, go stand in line at midnite, then 3 months later u realize the game is garbage. I'm probably a more experienced gamer then most of you kids; I don't get excited like u do. I can look at that clip and see it's still has some problems. I browse these boards and I can tell most of u are simply kids just by the way u guys get excited over "still" shots and trailers. Its like a scam, u kids fall for the same marketing gimmicks every year and u fall for the same marketing gimmicks. Based on that clip, I see nothing to get excited about.Comment
