Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
I could careless if u kids think that latest clip looks promising or not. I really seriously do not care. You kids do the same thing every year for every upcoming release; U get excited, go stand in line at midnite, then 3 months later u realize the game is garbage. I'm probably a more experienced gamer then most of you kids; I don't get excited like u do. I can look at that clip and see it's still has some problems. I browse these boards and I can tell most of u are simply kids just by the way u guys get excited over "still" shots and trailers. Its like a scam, u kids fall for the same marketing gimmicks every year and u fall for the same marketing gimmicks. Based on that clip, I see nothing to get excited about."I still have yet to accomplish what I've been trying to do from Day 1.”

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
I don't see the problem with the hunched player models to be honest. The animations seem alot better to me than ever before. Imo the game looks to be promising.
Some player places do seem a bit odd to me and game pace seems a bit slow. On the other hand, I might be me since I'm used to 2K9 so much after playing it alot over the past year.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
Yeah, I noticed it too...and it does have NBA 09 feel/look to it...but hey, like steph said when the players are standing up they look fine.
Maybe we all notice then hunch back on players because the players scaling is small? Because on 2k's game, players hunch but you can barely notice it...and the player scaling is bigger than EA.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
We've had years to do a bunch of things that I think you and I both agree that we haven't.
We have a new team this year that has basically had to build a new game. We can't get to everything in the time that we have. When they're standing straight, it looks perfectly fine. When they're in a defensive position, they look hunched. It's not something we can address at the moment.
If we address anything with the skeleton, we have to redo animations, AI, etc. etc.
If you mess with one thing, you have to mess with the other. Our main focus this year was gameplay and fixing / building it. It had to be. You guys wanted it, we had to do it.
At any rate, the game really looks good. I like the way it's coming along. I can tell you guys have worked on tons of stuff. Keep it up.When the game is on the line, winners want the ball.Comment

Re: Player Models In Hussle Video.
Then those of us that want realistic looking player models will wait until EA gets this right before purchasing the game. I’m sure game play has been improved, which is great. When you guys rebuild the player skeletons and improve the rim and net physics as well then I’ll be interested.Comment

Seriously though you had no intentions on getting the game if it was perfect. But for us who buy the game year after year rather it's bad or good. Know from experience that no game is ever going to be perfect, including the competitions.
But the others who are not just consumers but also programmers and people who are experienced in the video editing and character design world. Know the complications of getting things as close as possible without jacking up other stuff.
From everything I'm seeing so far, everything is looking nice.Last edited by Behindshadows; 08-13-2009, 12:08 AM.Comment

So you have no intentions on buying the game? But you posted about not buying the game? And you thought the developers would say,"all damn better stand the player models up 1/4 more or Dalsanto is out of the purchase class"!

Well Behindshadows, I never expected the game or any game for that matter, to be perfect, so please don't exaggerate and make assumptions about people to get your point across. I think it's amazing that some of you can't see the obvious problems with the player models.
I find it odd that some people will buy a game regardless of whether it's good or bad as you've stated, what sort of message is that sending to the developer? That it's ok to deliver a mediocre product? I buy a game based on the quality, I don't have a loyal following of any company. I never understood why some people do that. Lol Are you on their payroll or something?
I was really looking forward to this game, but after seeing the goofy models and poor net animations I was turned off. The game could play great, yes, but I feel this detracts from the immersion. This is MY opinion, which I'm entitled to, i think it's childish of people to jump all over someone for not sharing their view. This is a discussion site isn't it? Isn't feedback encouraged? Or is it only feedback that gives a glowing endorsement? "Agree with the majority, or else!"Comment
