I think basketball games should incorporate "Fearlessness" and "Intimidation" ratings

They don't have to call em that, but something along the lines of that.

Like, for example, when LeBron drives hard IRL and the defense can tell he's about to go up for a dunk, the opposing shot-blocker might just decide it's not worth bein a poster child and let him dunk, whereas they wouldn't do that with someone like Sasha Vujacic

On the other hand, if a ballhandler drives and sees Dwight Howard or Chris Andersen in his way, he might pull it back out or pass when he'd normally shoot.

But then you'd also apply it the opposite way, too. Certain shot-blockers would be more willing to risk gettin posterized, and certain slashers would be more willing to risk gettin their shot thrown into the cheap seats.

    Thoughts?

I like it, but that could be done with tendencies right? Well maybe not the respect the AI would show to one player compared to another. A good concept though, and could add more life to the AI counterpart.

Somethin else that would be cool would be if these ratings would fluctuate throughout a game/series/season, w/e.

Like when LeBron dunked on Sheed in the 07 Playoffs, the next time LeBron went for a dunk and Sheed could have contested, he chose not to. LOL

well for the birdman and dwight thing your talking about theres the attribute shot alter. Unfortunately, ive never seen this attribute taken into account much during the game and almost every big man has a high rating in this category. Id wish I could see more floaters against the Magic in the paint.

For the Lebron attribute I completely agree. They should add some sort of attribute to apply this into the game. Hopefully though if they did incorporate this it wouldnt be overdone. If they did this LeBron might be able to just go in the paint and no would want to help. The way it really should be done is there should be help but once LeBron is in the air and its too late the player gets out of the way.
I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.

haha, I get all you guys confused.

But I think something like that is a good idea. Some guys when they start feeling it are out for blood and play better and you can sense them taking over the game with fearlessness.
