    Inbounding Mechanic

How did inbounding the ball in 09 work? Is it like 2K where you control the player catching the ball and you can switch to another player if he was being guarded?

In 09, it's like this. You basically can only move the PG-- if you try to switch to another player, the inbounder will pass to him immediately instead of allowing you to control him, move around and THEN call for the pass.

    Very flawed IMO.

Dang, hopefully they fixed that in Live 10. Thanks for the response!

        Re: Inbounding Mechanic

Another thing that bugs me about inbounding, even in real basketball games, is after a made basket, you can never run the baseline. Robert Horry was great at this! After a made free throw, he'd grab the ball out the net and run to the closes corner a fling the ball so far down the court so quickly, the D never saw it.

Does any game or has any game ever used this method of inbounding?

The inbounder will run the baseline in 2K9 but it isn't something you control fully.

I also wish they would implement a way for the inbounder to throw the ball low and the PG or whoever allows it to travel as far as he can before picking it up in order to save time.

              That would be cool haha.

Hopefully they get it right because inbounding the ball is an important gameplay mechanic especially for those last second plays.
