Re: Does live have 'shot stick?'
think about it though - if you really think about it the shot stick is very redundant and unnecessary. the direction you move the left stick in determines the shot you do, you don't need the right stick to have that kind of control on your shot.Comment

pfft if they do bring the shot stick to Live some of you guys will be praising EA like its something "new" and "revolutionary"
im glad they took away that two button layout for shooting...always had a good laugh though whenever i pressed the wrong button and the guy would do a funny animation while doing so

only because you are a person who doesnt want to learn dribble moves. Lives is basic and unbuttered bread and yet you think its the best cause it doesnt have a learning curvelive's system is better - Live uses the right stick for dribble moves, which give you WAY better control with dribbling than 2k does. 2k's shot stick is a gimmick - it doesn't really give you more control, but it wastes the whole right stick when that stick could be used for something more valuable (like dribbling).Comment

It gives you options period. Plus 2k didn't master it. Should be improved with 2k10 but they def could add more to it. But the choiced between flashy, power, and basic dunks to name a few not only gives the player the EXACT output of what they input. But it helps the developer group the dunks for a player. So Wade has 6 flashy dunk sig animations. The player can call upon it at will. Dope idea. Could add combo commands to it though. Ex. 1) left stick to the left and down on the right stick is a side fade away 2) down on the left stick/holding left trigger and down on the right stick a reg. fade away 3) quick left right or right left on the left stick/ holding the left trigger and then down on the right stick for a little Kobe shoulder shimmy for a fade away. The shot stick is dope and could get so intriquet if the developers really go at it. Kudos for 2k for the idea, hope they improve on it though. (P.S I'm aware some of these might be in 2k9 and that this is a Live forum lol)Comment

Yeah, I agree. I thought maybe live would implement the shot stick a bit better than 2k had, idk.It gives you options period. Plus 2k didn't master it. Does Rasheed Wallace shoot Hook shots better Left handed or right handed? Because I believe he does better with his right, so his percentage should not be equal shooting left handed and right, You score with your dominate hand. No more thunder dunks with off hand.chuckcross.bandcamp.com
