I think it just takes time for some to get over the whole ea vs 2k thing and simply enjoy what both on their own terms bring to the table.

This is the question for the guys who said that the game looks like 09 with better graphics and new rosters - what makes you think that? I would like to hear your reasons behind it. Thanks.

Considering these are 4 minute quarters, 12 minute quarters may actually bare realistic scores this year!

Yeah that's what I pointed out in my impression, too. That was the 3rd game I played and I really tried to focus on defense this time...and it really worked...in 2k9 you always found a way to score regardless of the defense...in Live 10 you have to play smart...

Loved the contact in the paint and the help defense. And like someone else mentioned, how Shard was hanging around in the paint and was actually hovering around the perimeter.

The passing looks funky, but hopefully the freestyle passing fixes some of that. I also thought there were a couple of opportunities where Pau and Dwight would have dunked the ball for an easy two, but didn't. Maybe that was just due to the users. I don't want a dunkfest, but if there is a very easy opportunity for a throw down, especially for the likes of Dwight and Pau, I want them to throw it down. That's just a small gripe.

Can't wait for the demo to drop.

Edit: I'm not watching the video all over again. But, I don't recall many made jumpshots at all. They took a good number of them. But they bricked every time. I only remember Fisher making one at the very beginning and maybe one for Shard too. I don't even remember Kobe scoring. May be due to poor releases on the shots.

Yeah I thought it weird, too, that Dwight or Pau didn't dunk although they where totally open sometimes. However I don't mind that at all. I am seriously tired of seeing dunks in a game everytime they are open, b/c it used to happen so often in past games. It simply doesn't excite me anymore...

You are definitely right. I havn't played proper Laker-Offense. I apologize for that :wink:. I actually wanted to use Kobe more often, but I couldn't use the size up to my benefit YET. I am sure I will in time. I tried to get open guys, too, but some things didn't work out like I wanted. Moreover I am used to 2k's controls and these differentiate a lot from both live 09 and 2k9. So I mostly ended up with Fisher as my last option and I kinda had trouble to find the right release point, too.

So that has been definitely my fault guys...GUILTY AS CHARGED!!!

I really like that animation around 4:27 by bynum down in the post where after he pumped faked he then went in and put it in off the glass.

There's also a weird jump in Howard's movement when he pump fakes on the first possession. I'm not sure if this is a result of body contact with the jumping defender, but his body moves a few pixels to the right.

Nitpicking, I know. But to me it confirms that you will see traveling on some animations. Not a game breaker for me, but still something I'd like to see fixed someday.

man, I cant say im feeling this vid at all......
I just want to get my hands on this so I can get a feel for it personally...
there were definitely some graphical improvements, but it looks like 09 to me as well....which isnt bad IMO....seems to me the jerkiness in the gameplay is still there...

im not one to overanalyze though, this is a demo right?...

i meant to say it reminds me of 09, which ISNT bad...Live 09 didnt look bad to me...

but hey, who knows? I might not waste my time, I have to see what else they come with on the gameplay tip... ive lost all faith in featurettes after Madden lol

Oh ok. I just know when guys hear good things about a sports title they don't usually play they want to give it a chance, but forget they don't really like that title in the 1st place, and I know you weren't a fan of Live 09 and are more accustomed to NBA 2k.

I saw the same thing with Madden. Guys wanting to give it a chance forgetting it was still Madden.
