When you're offball:

A, CROSS = Call for pass
B, CIRCLE = Call for offball screen
X, SQUARE = Tell AI-controlled ball handler to shoot
Y, TRIANGLE = Call for alley-oop
Down on Right stick = Set screen

Dude this is awesome, I can give it to Ray Allen as KG and tell him to shoot while I box out my man and play the rebound! Or get an alley-oop with Shaq from LJ23.

I think the future is this amount of free controls that you guys are adding. !!!woot!!!

I am glad that they brought back the controling players off the ball feature. They use to have that feature on one of the NBA Lives on PS2. I hated they took that feature off the next gen game but its good to see it back. The buttons are different this time so I have to get use to it.

Someone had a great question... what if you want to revert user control back to the ball handler. is that possible?

Cool2fool beat me to it, but he's right. You can pull up the icons and switch back to the ball handler if you want, or any other player for that matter.

I think the passing has me the most excited from today...

Freestyle passing has nothing to do with the icons...freestyle passing involves you holding the left trigger/ L2 and flicking the Right stick to the direction you wish to pass to.

If you like permanent player-lock, we added the option to set it pre-game from within every game mode.

That's really looking nice. I can't wait for this game. Now I can actually make Rip play like he does in real life (off-ball screens).
