    Does defense really matter?

Does it really make a difference if I am guarding a guy with Shane Battier or Jamal Crawford? Will the fact that i'm controlling Artest on defense give me a better chance of stopping someone than if im controlling Ray Allen on defense? I'm not talking about just the ability to steal the ball, but the overall ability to stop your man from scoring.

Here are some things Czar said about D:

    3. An athletic wing with no handles being guarded by a big man playing well off of him may not be able to take advantage of the mismatch.
Also you should check out his impressions thread I think he had more comments about D in there just gotta look for it.
