Prancing Down the Court Animation

What's the deal with this animation that's shown up so frequently in every vid I've seen?

Roy does it at :09, Melo :20, Kobe :27

Every once in a while might be cool, but I could see it becoming annoying to me if it happens too frequently especially since it seems as if every player does it. I've seen Derek Fisher do it after a simple layup. It looks out of place at times.

It's a small detail and the demo will be here soon, but it's annoying me already.

I hope they have varied animations because the players don't look right running back on defense when that animation isn't triggered. They look too robotic. They need a gather type animation before they break into a full sprint.

Is it me or Steve Nash looks horrible? He looks exactly like Toni Parker in the video! Nash should be thinner, shorter, and quicker.

Also why is the AI so slow to help out on some of plays? Look at Duncan remaining tight on Gasol and not helping out to protect the basket versus Kobe! Pietrus has no hand movement until the shoot goes up by Roy? These are just simple things that can prevent me from playing this game that has good potential.

Nash isn't really that quick I don't think... hence why he rarely gets to the basket without a pick-and-roll or mismatch with a big guarding him.

He is quicker than that clip right there! I really want to get this game but if the AI has all of those flaws which I hope came from putting the skill level in Rookie to have highlight clips for the game. Has to be since in two clips the Heat and Hawks had hit like 8 shots in a row. I want a simulation game and hope Live delivers this season.

I remember NCAA 2006 or 2007 had the same animation. It did get really annoying.

at 58 its the celtics vs the pistons...at 38 though its the izod center and it looks spot on to me. least the court does, not sure about how the whole stadium looks.

Its celtics and nets at :57 rafer austin who now plays for the nets is right there also john salmons is also there.
