New Alley-Oop Button

i have an idea having Y or triangle as a distinct button for alley-oop is crazy instead the alley-oop should be a double tap on the RB or R1
while triangle could be left for should be the post-up button!

Please give feedback

triangle/y would be a horrible button for posting up.

im pretty sure the post up button is gonna be the left analog stick.

Personally I hate the alley-oop button it's kind of a waste of a face button, honestly they could have left alley-oops for freestyle passing (would make perfect sense) and use Y/Triangle for something different maybe off-ball movement that way you don't have to press and hold a button to run around as another player you can just hit triangle/Y and select a player of you choice. Heck they could have even made it so that Y/triangle brings up you playcalling menu and the button that brings up the play calling menu right now (think is RB/R1) could be used for manuel post-up/face-up(on defense) I would have accepted that over an alley-oop button.

Now I think about it I would love for them to remap the Triangle/Y button for playcalling menu and take RB/R1 make that post up/face-up button and make freestyle passing the way to perform alley-oops, or at least make this control setup optional for choice

Double Click Pass button should be alley oop.....that just seems like common sense.

The Post up button should be one of or a combo of any of the L2, L1,R2, or R1 buttons since it is easy to hold these while using the Right or Left Stick for moving your player during posting up and still being able to hit the Shoot button while in the post up position.

Honestly....one of these days, they just need to let us configure the controller how we want. You just need to have a menu of every available action, and let the user chose the button they want to assign to that action, so there would never be any debate.

With an option like that, I could play both NBA LIVE and NBA 2K and configure the controller actions to be identical.

Now I'm currently looking at the icon pass is L2 for LIVE 10 and the icon pass is R1 for NBA 2K10. The Triangle button is Alley oop for LIVE 10, while double click pass(x) button is alley oop in 2K10. While the other 80% of the buttons are identical between the games. So let me configure the controller so that they are identical....that way I can purchase both games and not have to remember which buttons are different between them.

I hate the fact that these guys found it important to put an alley oop button on the face of the controller, and thought it would be OK to make Post Ups automatic!!! R U Serious on this one?? I could have dealt with making alley oops automatic maybe, so people couldnt abuse the heck out of them..

Im leaning more and more toward not buying this years version at all..

Alley-oop should have been incorporated into free style passing somehow... that would have made way more sense. Right now, it's a waste of a face button.

Awesome point bro! You get like 2 Alley OOps a game, but someone posts up on every single possession, so they make Post Up automatic. The automatic post up is still one of my pet peeves of this year's Live. So annoying. Why cant I post someone up, or put my back to the basket out on the perimeter? Makes no sense, I want to back someone down sometimes.

I think someone should make a poll/petition so have the alley functionality changed. It should not be a play that is so accessible as to be mapped to a face button.

Bring back the pro hop, or find another use for the face button, but alley oop should not be such a common play.

Seems like it might be too late too make such a change to the control scheme. This is stuff that should have been thought about early in the game's production. Hopefully I'm wrong though...
