Why isn't Live 10 getting any love?

I mean we're talking about a REALLY good basketball game for a change. I guess it's gonna take some time for people to realize that. It's leaps and bounds over what 09 was. Over 300 ppl in the other forum v. only 33 here. Im sure the other offering will be good, but this game is good too (if not better).

Its just the fact that there are hords of information on the other game coming right now. Some members of OS have hte game, and are answering questions. 2k has a huge following... But that's not to detract from what a great game Live looks to be this year. I'm a fan of bball games in general. I don't care how many viewers each forum has, I'm buying both and playing the better title.

Once some more Live info starts dropping, you should see a more even distribution of viewers.

my advice, go watch the KonsoleKingz vid in the 2k forum, seems like the game is the same as 2k9, way too easy to score in the paint. i'm pretty sure Live will be what i buy this year, but go watch the vids and decide for yourselves, i still would like to play the 2k demo though, but it's looking like Live for me this year.

Because NBA 2K10 is already being played by some OS members; not to mention NBA Live 10 is the underdog....(i like underdogs)

i finally realized y i like 2k more than live!!!! live is wayy to robotic and does not have much dribbling animations... sure the system is good but most ppl have the same exact crossovers and moves, when ever people rebound its robotic, when ever people dunk they seems to just get suck to the rim while striking a pose instead of actually dunking the ball with a regular jump, and finally theres is not enough contact animations if you dunk on someone in 2k u can feel it but in live you cant they just slide out the way as well as in rebouinding a person can just jump over you with noo collision and youll just slide forward in the air. and im NOT a 2k fan boy i REALLY wanted live 2 beat 2k this year but it seems like its not happening... which brings me to another point the commentary is SOOOO dead dry and lifeless i can hear it from the videos they released compared to 2k10 were the commentators have soo much emotion and passion when they speak. Well its back to that old sports saying... "There's always next year."

Live has received plenty of love here man. Not until someone actually gets home with the game like Mo, Steve, and Pared with 2k will you see the kind of traffic 2k is getting now.

u can pretty much say the same for 2k. i just saw some 2k gameplay vids and came away thinking it was pretty much the same as 2k9. in my opinion, i think Live's animations are more fluid and flow better than 2k, but thats just me. having bought 2k8 and 2k9, and not having played Live since about 05, based on just the demo of Live, i like Live better this year, just something about it. that's not to say 2k probably won't be good, but i just found Live to be more fun this year.

Did you see that cheesefest konsole kingz vid?? No jumpshots were taken and it was on hall of fame! Anyways. 2k has alot of followers. I was once one! Lastly, I don't think people give live a chance

I guess i must be different because the lack of animations in live doesn't bother me almost at all compared to the complete lack of MOMENTUM in NBA 2k.

This is one reason that this game can never be called a true sim. This must be fixed before that can be discussed. Therefore right now ur playing an arcade style game thats trying to be sim!

One would think the live team would make it a priority to be sure some people have their game around the same time to even things out a bit but heh i'm sure they know what they are doing !

As a 2k gamer last season I can tell you why. In my opinion Live has been putting out a very poor game the last few years. I gave it a try last year and played a few games and let it go. They actually had a better online system and a very interesting concept in DNA but when you removed all the lipstick it was a pig(in my opinion). So last year I loved the gameplay in 2k but the online servers were such crap that I told myself I really hoped Live would bring something to the table. When I read that one of 2k producers was moving to Live I had a lot of hope because I knew he would immediately clean up a lot of issues. I played the demo and I was really impressed. Finally I felt Live had a playable bball game and that's all I wanted. A playable game that has good servers. A lot of people get pissed if someone hand goes thru the rim on a dunk but i don't care about that...it's a video game dude....basically you have to have an open mind and that's what a lot of people don't have. Some people just find something they like and stick with it and that's their right...but I've seen people dogging Live and saying it's garbage and that's not even the case. Those are the closed minded people I am referring to. It's going to take some time bro...give it about 2 years and if things are going the same, you will see the forums pull even.

Live is STILL the underdog. It has more to prove than 2K does. The Live series has been non-existent in the past 4 years. Bottom Line. I haven't purchased Live since 05.

However, I'm tired of hearing 2K fans drinking the Kool-aid believing that their game is a pure sim, because it's not. The players in that game do not walk naturally. They slide like they are on skates. Defense was not good in 2K9 and help-defense didn't exist at all. Running along your offense counterpart and staring around is not "D" folks. The last good 2K was 2K7.

I'll be getting Live 10 early and I'll post some nice screenshots and videos to counter the other thread.

But people are right Live is getting no love, I think the competition's Presentation and commentary is unmatched! As Steve Kerr has no emotion and Marv is just boring now, with the same ole' commentary since PS2.

Honestly I think presentation is a key element to keeping a game fresh. All the flashy replays and cuts are what makes that game seem appealing and I could have sworn a EA dev told us that Live 10 would have something like that, even though it was definitely absent from the demo.

Right now live isn't getting any love because EA isn't allowing Steve to post videos, screenshots or answer questions.
