Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
Bad news about online......OFFLINE I believe the game is beautiful and a very accurate sim.......ONLINE is a cheesy different story....Only 25 people nationwide were online yet still the cheese was prevalent. What happens regardless of defense, double teams, etc., is that you can take control of an off the ball offensive player run him towards the hoop, call for the pass, and then dunk or lay up every time. I played the Cavs and the guy did this vs me all game long....There doesn't seem to be anything I could have done, but again, this was my first game....Too bad because I was hoping online and offline would play VERY similarComment

Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
Yep the thing that sucks for us as the hum player is we don't all have lightning quick reaction time. So getting steals and getting in postion to defend a shot can be difficult against another human because our reaction time has to double to account for the unpredicatability of another hum.
Against the CPU its fine but humans are much harder to defend. This really shows up in Live because the cpu is great about punishing you for spamming things. Its much harder for us to do that because we lack the quick reaction to defend everything.
This game really replicates the NBA in the sense of the player's speed and ability to get up off the floor. These guys are some of the most athletic people you'll ever see so defending them is going to be hard.
Hopefully next year EA provides us w/ even more tools to defend. What we have now is solid enough but having more tools will go a long way especially for user vs user games.Last edited by Jano; 10-03-2009, 01:02 AM.Comment

Re: Online leagues.......
The thing I do not like about Live's online leagues is the stat tracking within the league. They track the team's league stats, but no individual stats. What I mean by this is if I'm 10 games into our online league, I'd love to be able to see how many pts and rebounds Kevin Garnett is averaging compared to all other players in the league.....That's why with Live, unlike 2K10, it's almost necessary to play your league through Leaguedaddy.com or the like...Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
Look man....starting the one up last night, they have photos of players
Some rooks has photos, some had the created faces and some were sihlouettes so it was a mixed bag.
I didnt sim to the end of the season or whatever and I turned scouting to Auto
Ill do this tonight and check to see what happens for you guys
next year tho, get those faces in there for fake rookies Ea.
enjoy the game guys, sounds hot!Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
I am a dynasty/franchise player.
So all of my gaming time comes from that mmode.
I usually keep a game for a few years and play those modes in sports games until I decide to upgrade.
Still playing madden 07 on the wii.
I tried madden 10 on ps3, and its sold already.
bad franchise mode.
I don't want to be 7 seasons deep and my entire league will have no identity.
i don't want to have a game vs. the celtics and have there be 4 of 5 starters with no face or no back history.
nothing personal to you or other gamers.
just my preference since I live and die my dynasty modes.Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
Well, my experience with online thus far has been horrendous...Guys double teaming every possession regardless of player and/or situation, running their off the ball player straight to the rim (and unless you guys have experienced this yet, there is NOTHING you can do, honestly) calling for the pass and then throwing down, running absolutely no plays whatsoever and then always trying to steal the inbounds pass after they score.....it really is ridiculous....
Now, with all of that said, I LOVE THIS GAME OFFLINE, and believe it CAN play similar with like minded sim individuals ONLINE also, but it would take the right kind of people. If we would set up a league where we limit the off ball manual movement to the front of the rim (or limit the points in the paint to a realistic percentage of one's overall points) as well as have players that will run some of the wonderful plays that EA has given each and every team, then the game would play wonderfully online....
If anyone would like to give this a shot, my gamertag is selahsdaddy and we could play an unranked 7 or 8 minute quarter "sim-like" game and I believe have a lot of fun.....Comment

Re: NBA Live 10 QA Final version
How is the player progression?
Do they track stats for players entire career year by year?"Don't complain about the show if the ticket is free."Comment
