    Re: PS3 Framerate issues...

The only frame rate issues I saw in the demo is when a friend signed in. But since 23 has confirmed no issues, I am not worried in the least.

Again, I feel that this is a random problem. But just because "23" didn't have any issues, doesn't mean that nobody else will. I realize that I am a "noob" here, but I have no reason to lie. I have been excited for this game for a while and I'm still loving every second of it.

But please, just because a vet here will over 27,000+ posts shows you and tells you one thing, doesn't mean that everything is going to be all fine and dandy for everyone else who may also have this game (no offense, 23).

I would try exchanging it for another disc. If you are getting frequent framerate issues, sounds like somethings wrong with the game disc itself.

The only time I get framerate issue, is sometimes, when going for a rebound, but that happens rare and only lasts half a second. Didn't notice that little occurrence happen on the 360 version so far, but yeah, that is the only difference between the two.

I would definitively take the disc back. Won't hurt.

np man, I believe you because the demo had some stuttering going on..

That friends sign in thing still happens too, but as far as the game its for the most part smooth (for the ps3 at least) but I just know that 360 version is better since it was made on the 360

Probably so (about the 360 version). Regardless, I let stephensonmc know about it and he said he would check into it and try and get it fixed if need be. Again, some games it doesn't really happen at all, so it's definetly not a "game-breaker". It just gets a little annoying after a while, and this game would be damn near perfect to me if this occurance didn't appear.

it could be the firmware. you got 3.01? is that the one thats optional? i know alot of people were complaining about drakes uncharted freezing up when 3.0 launched.

Yeah, I have 3.01. Hopefully, stephensonmc will be able to shed some light on this and have it patched up within the next couple of weeks.

I'm having a blast with this game tonight, but I think it's time to get some rest. I hope I can have an answer to what is the deal sometime in the near future so I know what is going to be done to fix it.

I'd hate to shed a negative light on this situation, but... If there is indeed frame rate issues during gameplay, I'm skeptical that the development team would be able to fix it. Because last year with Live 09, there were frame rate problems with instant replays and nothing could be done to correct it. Now, I'm no game designer or anything... But if I had to guess, I'd say fixing frame rate issues within gameplay would be more problematic than fixing replays.

You're probably right. I guess we can always dream though, huh? (Those of us with the issue, at least). LOL.

Unless the problem is on Sony's end...the fact that some PS3 owners have not seen framerate issues makes me think there is something else going on here IMO...

What do you think the issue could be, then?

                            What camera do you use?

Could be an HDD issue as well. Hard to say.

PS3 Framerate issues are definitely there, but its not bad enough to ruin the game

                              It's a failure on 3 levels: programming/QA/Production. That's all I can say.-iminurbase

I've read many PS3 impressions and have not read any mention choppy framerate ?? People have specifically said that it has been fixed compared to the demo ???
