Just called JB and it has just arrived this morning so i can go pick it up this arvie when i finish work. Very awesome how we are getting it the same day as the US!!

EDIT: Wiffy if i can get it in a rural centre like Townsville in NQ you should have no trouble finding it today if you are in a capital city. Hit the phones my man!!!

Yeah I'm down in Melbourne. I could try but I'm just too snowed under with work at the moment. Plus my money is already tied up in the pre-order. I think next year I wont tie myself down to a pre-order.

Yeah it's great how early we are getting these games. Traditionally Live is a little late and 2K is about a month? First time in a long time that I will pick up both, but I can't bring myself to pay full price for Live, will pick it up on blahdvd or something for around $AUS 60.

Live, 2K, Fantasy ball, the season is almost upon us gentlemen! Enjoy.

you can get it online for $66 but you'd be waiting a bit, like siraulo said Big W etc would be the best shot.

Just got back from JB with the game, have to wait til i get home after work at 5 to play it though. For a second i thought they weren't going to sell it to me and one of the checkout chicks actually said "doesn't this have an embargo on it untill the 8th?" but the other dude said no that is the street date but they are allowed to sell it as soon as it arrives.

Not sure if its true or not but the girl was telling me that the Hervey Norman two shops away recently sold Halo: ODST before the release date and got fined 20k for every single copy sold early.

My early impressions are that the box looks good and the disk appears to be unscratched.

If i wasn't at work i'd capture a picture of the game and the JB receipt and you could take it in to show them because i know how frustrating that can be when you need your fix of digital crack.

I did say that other stores were selling it like EB but she said that they wouldn't. I will go in tonight and see what I can do upfront. She wouldn't put me on to anyone in gaming either so she was a bit of a mole.

Would be cool to get some games in. My internet is pretty shot at the moment at home tho as my PS3 finds it hard staying online to my router via wifi. Might have to take all my stuff downstairs and hook it up for a game via an ethernet cable.

Good luck with it mate, it would be annoying that the game is sitting there and others are allowed to buy it but you aren't.

I'll make a list in the first post of Aussie PSN/XBL user names so we can hopefully get some decent sim style games going. Most online players are cheesy / tools and it's next to impossible to get a lag free game with our OS bro's in the US it seems so this might be a good way to get some decent games for true hoopers.

Only problem with EB is that they are like 20 bucks more expensive than JB. Plus my JB is outside the shopping centre so it is open later. Will see how I go tonight. If not I will just have to wait til thursday. But like you guys said, it sucks that you guys have it and will be playing it tonight and I cant get it!!!
