Stuff like that happens all the time. Every year in every genre. In most stores. Ppl just have strong opinions and they voice it. Nothing wrong with it, only thing is if ppl are on the fence they could sway some sales. When I can't decide I get both, like this yr. But when its clear cut, I got with the victor.

Hahaha. Same thing happened to me at the Gamestop I went to. 2K this etc 2K that blah blah blah... Then I showed him all the complaints about the frame rate issue on my BB and he canned it.

This is not the first time I heard of a game store employee trying to sway a customer into buying what he feels is better.
It's funny to see the people come in that don't know which game to get but after they are practically told what to buy they leave with that game.

It happens more than you think. One of my boys over heard a Best Buy employe straight up lie about the 360/PS3 to a mother. He told her that the 360 was the better console because it had blu-ray.

Like I said, heck it happened last year with NBA Live 09, but the situation last year was way different, the man just voiced his opinions and he said he thought 2K was better and I totally respected that, he didn't come at me hard or even asked people around the store. I've never seen someone try to hard to get me to buy 2K10, like he looked at me in disbelief when I asked him for Live 10, the way he act I was seriously considering almost believing him about not getting it, thank God I didn't, this game is good.

The best part was when he said "Here goes your game your going to hate" like as If I spent my money for something worthless, a slap to my face LOL. Whatever though, it happens.

About 2-3 weeks ago I went into Play N Trade to pick up Batman: AA and the clerk said "finally your the first person I've had today that is actually buying a good game. I see so many people who come in here and buy crappy games but, this game is good".

And I was like good deal, thats what I hear.

But, I guess he didn't really criticize peoples crappy game choices given his statement.

Haha no little old ladies ripping you about buying Live and getting her old lady mates behind the counter to shovel you some smack about your choice!

Often times here in Australia the sales assisstants get confused when I ask about a Nth American sports game because the start of the titles sounds so similar...NFL 10, NHL 10, NHL 2k10, NBA Live 10, NBA 2k10...ect, ect I am surprised they do as well as they do.

I make sure I repeat the title when they say they have it in. Today I enquired about NBA 2k10 and the guy stumbled on the phone in his response and said 'yes Fifa 10 is in...I mean...'??? How he got Fifa confused with NBA I don't know other than they are sports games that are realised at about the same time. It just happens.

thats crazy..fifa an nba...lol...that guy aint lying though...when I went to buy nba live 08 the dude in my local store told me I was getting the wrong game..thats as far as he went with it but some try harder than others to "help"

I'm glad I don't have this problem. My Gamespot has a bunch of good guys that work there. They don't try and hassle you about stuff like this.

I would have told him that he obviously knows nothing about NBa basketball, and that I'm going to buy Live... but from a different store. Then I'd just walk out.
