I Need Help With Defense

My defense seems fine when I play pro but when I bump the CPU up to All-Star I get torched (some of it is caused by my poor play on offence which results in easy CPU buckets but this post is focused on half court defense.

I generally assign myself to a defender (usually on of the big men) and stay with the defender for the possession (I do not switch to guard whoever has the ball).

Is there a way to call for a double team (i.e. - I see Nash driving and I am not in a position to help so can I press a button to request one of my AI teammates to double team)?

Is there a way for me to tell which of my players are best at defending the drive or defending a jump shooter (I do see a rating for defending the post)?

Those that are having success on defense, what are you keys for success?

Hold B to call for a double, let it go to call off the double. That's very important.

I can hang with the cpu on allstar with an elite team, but with lesser teams seems like I will really have to know my roster well and have a solid gameplan.

I usally use the R1 button, lol it helps stay in front of my guy. You can still get owned by CP3 or Wade but, I have Allen Iverson so I'm good.

Also I've been getting owned by the CPU on All-Star I just started beating them. You might want to try Pro until you get the hang of defense.
