    Question about dynamic season...

Still a little confused about how the mode is to be played. So we wait until the (real life) game finishes and then we play game to see the DNA work? LOL idk

    Sincerely,

    A confused brotha

      Re: Question about dynamic season...

It's for those people that want to follow the NBA season or play a season that mirrors it.

You can't follow the season and start playing the season before the games because that would defeat the purpose. It mirrors real life performances by adjusting DNA so players are playing like their real life counterparts.

So people that want to play along don't have to worry about adjusting ratings for that breakout player, they won't need to make that big trade in season, or get upset about the Kings starting 20-5 (sorry Kings fans). The game will make those changes for you and you can be a sort of god to the results.

So everything except for the W/L and player stats are mirrored from the real NBA? No trades on your own or whatever?

Thanks, Yankee. That sounds good, but can you explain how you would play it in a two game stretch? Is it best to wait a week and then play all the games for that week? I'm just not sure how I would go about it.

            Re: Question about dynamic season...

No trades on your own. There is still Dynasty mode for all that. Dynamic Season is basically the NBA Season.

You can sim every day (following the season), not play a game, and at the end of the year, all stats, records, results will be exactly like the real NBA Season.

The kick is running with one team and changing the results of games you play. Or you can play any game for any team in the schedule and change those results.

You affect what you do and the game will let the real NBA decide the rest. So if you never play as or against LeBron, he'll end the season with the same real life PPG. But let's say you played with Kobe and that one real life game he scored 15 points (bad night), you can help him score 40 and now Kobe wins the scoring title in your season because he never had that poor 15 point game.

You can't play ahead of schedule so no back-to-backs unless you're days behind. You can play an old game and change the results (using rewind) or play a different team's game.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'll probably dive into that mode with a team I really don't want to make trades for (Grizzlies/Sixers) then do my dynasty with a up and coming young team (Kings/Thunder).

              This game owns.

                Re: Question about dynamic season...

This mode is really exciting....One of the reasons that I bough Live for the first time in 6 years.

Question...Say I am playing a game over my lunch break and I can't finish it....Will I be allowed to sim the game to the end to get the stats or will I have to quit and lose everything.

In season mode it does not have an option to sim to end of game...this worries me just a bit because I am playing with Sliders that allow 12 min quarters.

                    Two Quick questions..

Say if you miss a game, it's my understanding that your game is simulated, to the real life results but, you can use the rewind feature to play the game over with your actual results. Am I correct?

edit: never mind I see the answer to the 1st question a few posts up...

Also, I think I remembered reading that you could play more than one teams game. So, say as an example, I want to play with Boston and there's a big game (that decides a playoff race) at the end of the season between New Orleans and Phoenix. Can I play that game?

dynamic season happens alongside the real season, you can't go ahead of time.

Yes. Those games are still saved in the Live servers or wherever they are held.

So, you can start up a new Dynamic Season in July of 2010 with the Sixers. You'll just end up replaying the entire 2009/10 season instead. And I'm assuming that with the way the system is set up, you could skip ahead to a game in March 2010 and then go back and play a game in December 2009 because every game will be in the system.
