Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
Gameplay-wise...
Rebounding is the really obvious one. I feel almost no user control in the rebounding battle. It seems like if a shot is missed there's one predetermined guy who's going to get the ball and I can't do a thing about it. It will be nice to have the CPU kick the ball out after some offensive boards and not attempt a put back every single time.
Blocks can improve quite a bit. Post play can be cleaned up, some better animations and a little better user control.
Better transition game for the CPU, I love it for the user. With the Knicks and using OBC in transition I can get my fair share of dunks and plenty of open three's when I push the ball. The CPU does need to attack the rim more though in transition.
I don't have a ton of gameplay complaints, EA did a helluva job in one year."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
Gameplay -
Long rebounds - This would help with fast breaks.
More (a lot more) signature animations - shots, crossovers, post play, free throws, dunks, etc.
Ability to choose between a bounce pass, chest pass, or lob pass. Maybe if you just tap the pass button it's a bounce pass, while a double tap is a lob pass, and holding the pass button is chest pass.
There should be a button that you can push on defense that would make you impede an off-ball players movement towards the basket. I know there's an animation for it now if you stand in the way of a cutter, but I want to be able to trigger it and keep it going as long as I want to. And if I over do it, then have the ref call a foul. Strength should also be a factor. I should be able to ride Shaq out of the paint with Derek Fisher, which brings me to my next point.
Strength should be accounted for in all animations. I was playing with the Lakers against the Pistons and Tayshaun Prince outmuscled Ron Artest when he drove to the basket. Suffice to say, if Tayshaun Prince and Ron Artest colliding, Prince should be going backwards 99 percent of the time.
This would also allow bigger ball handlers like Deron Williams, Baron Davis, Chauncey Billups, Lebron, etc.. to be able to drive a smaller player into the paint. Obviously you'd have to be careful with this or it could become cheese city, but there should be an advantage there.
I want the ability to pass out of a dunk or layup animation all the way up until the last minute.
Sliders should be numbered.
Dynasty (i haven't even gotten to the offseason yet, so some of this may already be in the game)
Complete customization. I want to be able to edit any player ratings, accessories, information, team rotations.
Editable draft classes inside and outside of Dynasty.
The ability to practice with my team.
Being able to split the mid-level exception.
Advanced stats - eFG%, PER, eff, ts%, stats for each quarter compiled for the entire year, fast break points, team offensive/defensive efficiency, etc.
Presentation
It'd be cool if Randy Newman's "I Love L.A." played after Lakers home victories.Comment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
Same as last year, it would be nice to see CPU controlled superstars act like superstars, take control of games, look to score, demand the ball.
Right now a replay game where Kobe scored 50+ will still see him, if controlled by the CPU, passing up a ton of shots and really not taking control.Comment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
I would like to see less standing around by a cpu controlled pg. I would also like to see better defensive lock on cpu players. Continue to improve on what has been worked on and fix the issues that have been brought up.This Is H-Towns Finest. Mr Raaannndddy WatsonComment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
-Online Dynasty (or at the very least, the same features of 2k's online games - web interface)
-The equivalent of 2k10's MyPlayer
-Fix the block/rebound mechanics to look more realistic (i.e. 2k10).
Notice a theme here? Everything else about live though is on point.Comment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
Fix the crowd so that EVERY Single Fan is not for the home team. The opposing teams still have fans especially if its like Lakers at clippers, ALL the fans shouldnt be clippers fans lol. Most would still probably be lakers fans IRL lolComment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
I agree with all of the above posts, but next year, I'd love to see Live implement a animation branching system for every facet of the game (think quickstrike ballhandling this year)
-Layups-have the layup animations vary based on the situation(defender location, position, angle)
-Shots-fades,drifters,floaters(contextual)
-Blocks-same as layups, depends on position, angle in which defender drives in, vertical, and height/arm length(wishful thinking?)
-Defensive stances-how the defenders shuffle their feet, depending on their defensive abilities(on ball D, man D,help D)
-Rebounds-same as blocks
Finally, improve the CPU Defensive A.I. and implement ball awareness like Madden 10(when it works) where the cpu/bench will head track the ball and react accordingly, which could result in better hustle and steal anticipation.
Thanks devs for an already great games and thanks for listening to us!!!My Teams:
NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: New Orleans Saints
MLB: New York Yankees
SOCCER: Real Madrid/ Man UnitedComment

Top 10 Features I Don't Want To See In Live 11
Its time to lighten the mood and get fun for a bit on here. Live is just a game, lets enjoy it while we have it. With that being said, there's things I want to see implemented next year.
This year, Live went small on features and focused on fixing the core gameplay experience and it paid off.
But next year, I hope to see some new things rolled out.
In my 26th bi-annual installment of the 'top ten features' list I look at things I hope aren't some of the things
And now....
THE TOP TEN FEATURES I DON'T WANT TO SEE IN LIVE 11
10] All New Player Models With Real Time Sweat [And Exclusively To NBA Live, Authentic NBA Smells]
Now think twice before playing Brian Scalabrine 35 Plus minutes.
9] Referee Dynamic DNA
Feeling like the CPU ALWAYS comes back late in games? With new Referee DNA, it wont be a surprise when one team keeps covering the spread. Former ref Tim Donaghy provided feedback and insights to make this feature one of a kind.
8] Revolutionary Enhanced User Control
Gamers Will Now Be Able To Take Charge Like Never Before [Do not confuse this with being able to actually take charges]. New MindScrape 2011 technology will allow Live fans To Make Mike Wang Admit There Is comeback AI code in the game. Even if it really Isn't in there.
7] 'My 12th Man' Mode
Why control ANY player, when you can control the 12th man? Lead the charge on the bench by pounding on the X button during team rallies. Hold down the O button to lean your head to your knees while your team blows a double digit deficit. Tap the left and right trigger buttons successively to shake your head in amazement when the coach runs another Iso for Brandon Jennings. Get garbage time down by 42 and watch nobody pass you the ball. Not even Luke Ridnour. This is the first year, so you will only be able to control Roko Ukic.
[Note: A rumored patch in November will add Kellana Azubuike].
6] All New Mini Games. Including Get Eddy Curry Through Training Camp
Heck it wont be easy getting him TO training camp. On the way there he drives by 2 Taco Bell's and a Carl's Jr. Things like showing up for practice without your sneakers or actually lacing them up for an actual full practice session, will fluctuate an all new 'Patience Meter' which will gauge how tolerant Mike D'Antoni is of your antics. Send the meter plunging and a pop-up showing Donnie Walsh will appear, stating that he wishes he'd stayed in Indiana. Coach D has recorded authentic Italian expletives exclusively for this mode.
Sponsorship provided by Bobs Big Boy.
5] GM Mode: Be A David Kahn
Take control of an NBA franchise and handle the day to day duties of the General Manager position. Options will include mangling the cohesion of your backcourt in 23 minutes, alienating your hundreds strong fanbase and trading for then trading away Quentin Richardson. Note: there is no limit on point guard signings.
Steve Kerr will act as your mentor for this mode and has recorded 9 new lines specifally for this feature.
4] Online Free Throw Shooting Contest [First To 100 Wins]
Cheezers beware. Try leaving one of these contest's when ur down 98 to 82 and watch it result in an automatic loss.........of six hours of your life.
3] Steve Kerr's Voice
In one of Lives biggest coups yet, we got rid of a guy who doesn't even announce anymore and added the voice fans have wanted since Live10.
Marcus Stevenson. Come on now, don't YOU want to know what he sounds like my man?
2] New, Simplified 6 Button Backdown Mechanic
Get busy under the hoop with a digital Dwight Howard. Back down the big men of the league with a new control scheme that will prove just how hard it would be for some 24 year old in his moms basement to move Shaq around in the paint with just a ps3 controller. Never. Yea, thats about right.
And the number one thing I do NOT want to see implemented in NBA Live 11......
1] POINT GUARD VISION CONE!!!
Ok now that thats out of the way, let me say, I love Live, this is for fun, lets ball in 10 and beyond. Aint' life short?Last edited by econoodle; 10-15-2009, 02:40 AM.Comment

Re: Official Nba Live 11 Wish List
Please code the game on Allstar so people that dribble the whole shot clock with Kobe can lose the ball. What good is a double team if the ball handler can still continue to dribble all over the court (literally all over the court) and then go in and still score.
More emphasis needs to be put on defense. Far too many times in these sports games is the offense given the upper hand. I wanna be rewarded for good defense for a change.Comment
