Re: Anyone else having trouble executing pick-n-roll?

Re: Anyone else having trouble executing pick-n-roll?

I've just spent like 20 minutes playing the CPU doing nothing but "pick and roll." There's no rolling to the hoop going on. And in the rare occasion there is, it's way too late to be part of the play so it can't count. Can someone post a video of a properly executed pick and roll where the screener actually ROLLS to the hoop for an easy bucket. This is really pissing me off.

EDIT: So after playing a whole game doing nothing but running the pick and roll on every trip down the lane, sometimes multiple times per possession until the shot clock expired or the ball was stolen, it took until the 4th quarter to actually get Amare to ROLL to the hoop. I don't think it should be this difficult to execute, especially since A) This is probably the simplest play in the entire sport, and B) The Suns are the masters of the pick and roll and C) The Suns DNA rating has the pick and roll listed as the highest run method of offense. This ain't right. If it's the most often used method for scoring according to the games DNA, then why is it almost impossible to even attempt?

Thanks a lot for posting the Mike Wang video. There's something about seeing him being being so nice and helpful that makes me feel like a major dick for complaining.

I'll keep working on it. Thanks again.

Yes, as I described that Amare's not charging to the hoop for monster dunks with these plays, he is at least hitting his jumpers. That's my fav part about this game so far, it rewards you by having open players hit their shots.

I went to the Suns v Warriors outdoor game last night and we had amazing seats. Amare was hitting his jumpers. I also noticed though that when they through it to Amare in the post, he had space, never got the ball poked away, and with relative ease faced up to the basket and hit his jumpers.

Also of note is that in NBA Live 10, I've had plays that end up putting our new center Channing Frye up behind the 3-point line. I thought this was odd. Then when we were at the game, I believe the Suns first 6 points came from 2 Channing Frye 3-pointers! NBA Live 10 was running this before they even played!

Steve Nash was out on the floor by himself shooting around a couple hours before game time. I think we must have watched him practice for an hour and I think we only saw him miss 2 shots. That guy is the top rated shooter in this game for a reason.
Youre right my man!!! I have no idea how to run a play nor do I have any idea what the colored circles mean. As good as this game is I dont understand why they left everyone in the dark with these plays. The diagram 2K uses is perfect. Why wouldnt they use the same kind of set up for plays??

The way I understand it is this:

Black Circles= Go here and wait for a ball screen

Red Circle= Go here and wait for someone to cut or get an off ball screen and then pass it to them. The player you pass to should have X/A next to them.
