Can someone explain the whole "Dynamic season" thing?

I am confused about the whole "Dynamic season" thing...would appreciate it if someone could break it down for me.

Let's say I want to play a season as the Jazz.

    - I can play ALL 82 games...but I have to play them on the day or after the real games have taken place?

    - Let's say I am busy all week and want to play 4 games on the weekend...all games that have already taken place in the 'real' NBA...can I play all those four games when I have some spare time or do I have to play them the day of the games?

    - If I am reading this all correctly...I can chose my own team to use and save that season and incorporate it with all the real games? So, it's still my saved season (not just one off games)...but will have all 'real' NBA stats / rosters / DNA / real standings etc? (With my own wins and losses the only difference)

If that above bit is correct...then that's amazingly good and I'll definitely be using that for my season.

Anyone clear on this? (The manual has basically nothing)

    Any help much appreciated

Yes, but you can play any game you want that happened that day, not just the Jazz

Yes you can play them later, and the games will feature the DNA of the players from that particular game. Not only that, but any other team you don't touch will have the same real life scores and stats that happened IRL.

Yes but also it deends... you arent limited to one team, you can choose any game that is being played that particular day and play that if you want to.

As a matter of fact if you do in there right now, you can play rewind games from last season, and pick games from any team in the leauge to play... Its alot of fun to see the AI more aggressive with certain players because of how they played those games.

Yep court_vision, that's pretty much what it is.

      - You can just play games that have already taken place (or will be on that actualy day.) Thus at weekends you can play all the games that have taken place during the week.

      - You can play any game you want, however it's totally up to you if you dedicate your dynamic season to just one, two or three teams und thus just play i.e. all games of just the Magic.

      - All other games you haven't played (also the one's you dedicaded to just your team i.e Magic) will have real life scores and stats.

The only thing that I don't know is, if you can have severaly own dynamic seasons or if you an just save one. However I'd be suprised if that would be the case.

Since the dynasty mode is several flaws and is not that deep at all, that will probably be my mode this year, since I don't have to worry about stats. I think it's a great addition that was absolutely missing in previous years

        Much appreciated Dre

So...let's say the real Jazz start 4 and 6, but I win 7 of the first ten games...after ten games, I will have exactly the same stats...rosters...standings...DNA...etc as the real NBA...

Except that in my particluar season, the Jazz are going to be 7 and 3.

The only changes to the real NBA will be the games I played and how that affected things?

I am only going to use one team...to try and actually play alongside the real season, but with just the one team.

That's simply amazing if I am reading this right?

Thanks for that BRS...yeah, the dynasty mode sux pretty badly, but it doesn't matter if this Dynamic Season is what I think it is. I mean, that's flat out amazing.

I'll get all the real world rosters, DNA, hot and cold streaks, momentum, play set changes etc etc in my own season.

I am in complete awe right now

Which makes absolutely no difference. I have spent the weekend playing different rewind games from the Cavs. I've tried games where LeBron scored 40+, and where he scored in the low 20's. There is no difference between those games in how LeBron or the rest of the team plays. LeBron still generally scores around 20 ppg, and Mo Williams leads the team in scoring every game.

O.K so in the games where lebron scored 40+ he's suppose to score 40+ again, say like if you just let the cpu play out the result?

This sounds like a good thng though. I'm gonna be the bulls...in for long painful season LOL

Well he surely will have the hot strike from that game, tendencies and stuff. However that will just help you getting him 40 points...you still need to add your part to archieve that

Yep, only your team changes from real life because you're creating those things for the team. Everything else follows the NBA season

He should still be hot, still be looking to score. But if he's your opponent, if he's on the CPU team, then he doesn't do much differently than he would with any other DNA.

The DNA is supposed to make both teams play more like they did on that particular day. But it doesn't actually happen.

Actually it's not exactly the same standings as real life as some of you are saying. Let's say you pick the Kings and in real life they started 2 - 15, but you decide to use the kings yourself and take them 10-7. The teams the Kings lost to in real life, but you changed the outcome now have an extra loss compared to real life.

So where does thy dynamic commentary come into play here? I'm in my 15 game of my dynasty and I haven't heard one new thing. Just the same blah, blah, blah...
