    Defending 3's Online

I'm doing well online, but some players hit 3 pointers at a very high rate. I have tried guarding them with high pressure and switching up my D, but it doesn't seem to have an effect.

Does anyone have any tips for shutting down the 3's?

theyre damn near impossible. i usually lose by three pointers. jameer made 12 three pointers on me in an online game. how could i defend it? im all up in his face and he just dribbles back a foot and nails the shot.

Yeah, the most ridiculous i've seen are jameer nelson and deron williams. one game deron had 52 against me all on threes. I still won, but he shot every single shot with deron and ended up hitting countless 3's with a hand in his face.

I spoke about this in another thread with pics but it was overlooked. Nelson went I belive it was 16-25 in 3pter's on me. He shot 60% for the game. The %'s are way way way too high. All people do is the little cross back crossover in which you get sucked back creating space for them and it's rainman from behind the trey all day. What I normally try to do is put a taller good defensive wing man on them. And either send a double manually while you control the guy guarding him and just try to harass him or just put double team on yes for him and force him to beat you with somebody else.

Definitely hope EA takes a look at this issue since anybody with a high three point percentage is money from downtown.

Even against the AI this is a problem. Playing against the Warriors Stephen Jackson would take and make three after three with a man in his face.

3s online are a problem. I'll just wait for the patch because online mode is broken atm but lmao at Jameer sinking 12 of em. Atleast it was JR who killed me with em...but they were all fadeaways lol

Stop playing on All-Star and move to the SIM Lobby where all games are on Superstar...Why do you think they call the Superstar Lobby the "Sim Experience"???

Exactly where online do I navigate to get to this Sim lobby? I don't see it when I go into lobbies. Where is it located?

I played against someone that did the deron hop 3 fade away glitch as well. Its probably the same guy. Unless you block it its like a 95% chance of going in. The shots were like halfway from the 3 point line to half court lol. Mike said they were patching it so at least the problem will be fixed.

Play Zone 2-3 if you use a small lineup 3-2 if you use a Big Lineup Control the small foward and run to the spots theyre shooting form dont jump and the shooter just contest the shot if you just get real close to the shooter your guy will put a hand in his face instead of just jumping out BTW make sure you SF is 6-7 or better and use the blcok out button because rebounding out of zone can be a pain in the AZZ sometime. And if you can avoid playing the Magic and Nuggets Because D Howard M Gortat and Nene and bird man grab and gang of offensive boards and sometimes u just have to fight fire with fire you bring the magic or nuggets im grabbing the lakers or Cavs period. If your looking for a sim game hit me up GT Hood Champ 330 Im 42 and 25 I think and I beat a lot of the top 100 guys using this strategy i usually lose because I play with teams like the bobcats and other garbage teams whos ratings are a lil off

I think Jameer is just wet. I don't know if it's easy to hit threes there are just certain people who seem to always make them... Mo and Jameer come to mind. It's all good, dude, just keep playing. I don't agree with calling it an exploit to say someone is making 3s on you. They are making 3s on you. lol. If they are doing gotos, sure, but just making threes?

Is it unrealistic? Maybe, but you have to admit they have some sort of skill to do it...

Now that I think about it, maybe the broken fatigue has something to do with this. I mean if the players actually got tired, they should start missing shots, sit on the bench, etc. which would reduce their effectiveness. At least that's how I think it should work.
