Off-Ball passing is critical to success in this game...

I was having much the same problems as most with regards to turnovers, even after modifying sliders to make the cpu less skillful at interceptions and steals, until I had a revelation:

THOU SHALT USE OFF-BALL CONTROL TO PASS.

Especially for post entry passes. It's imperative that if you see your man in an engaged post up animation to select him with off ball and nudge him away from the defender. It will free him of the engage and make the pass much easier to execute.

Same goes for just about any other pass. Unless you have a man wide open with no impediment, you must adjust the angle, either by dribbling toward him or bringing him to you. I've cut my turnovers in half using this method, now I'm averaging a much more manageable 12 per game, whereas before I was closer to 25.

I'm not having any problems with turnovers. You could try to get better passing angles into the post. (ie: Post further up the baseline and draw the help defender away by moving the ball handle towards the top of the key, then passing it)

Sorry I didn't see your comment about angles. This happens in every NBA game. Passing is all about angles.

I turned the cpu interceptions and steals down to zero and they still intercept the ball even when i move towards the player i want to pass it to. It seems as though the sliders dont work and its very frustrating and UNREALISTIC when you're trying to move the ball around the perimeter to get an open shot and 99% of the time your pass gets intercepted.
One thing i must mention to is that court spacing is horrible in this game especially when u pass in the post. Players get tangled up and the play ur trying to run turns into a mess.

i have both of those silders at about 25. I don't mean this in a bad way, but its you, not the game. the paint can get a little busy sometimes but if you concentrate on the pass you're making you can be successful. I find that the lapses in concentration is when I throw the ball away. use off ball controls to disengage post ups before passing. actually, i find off ball controls to be more successful than moving the passer towards the receiver.

I just had my best game with turnovers. I've been having big problems myself and was averaging around 18-20 TO a game. But i just played a rewind from the Suns/Spurs on xmas day, only 9 turnovers. it was also the first game I held the computer to under 40% shooting (I beat the spurs, 90-80). I'm thinking it just takes practice, and hopefully I'll continue to improve.

Of all the posts on OS about Live 10... this is the first I've seen complaining about the spacing. Consensus seems to be (and I agree) that spacing is very well done. Maybe you're just being impatient and trying to overplay your plays? It's your opinion though, so I guess I should respect that.

it does take practice, and i'm actually having really competitive games now after losing by 15+ in my first 7 or 8.

if you are talking about crowded paint then yes it's an isie. If you are talking turnovers it's not an issue with reduced sliders. With them at about 25 I've seen that every turnover is my fault, and I can often tell as soon as I hit the button that it's a TO.

One thing for next year though is offensive post entry win animations need to be added, or more of them anyway. As it is the defender can get around and knock it away a little too much, and I don't think there are many win animations for fronted post players.
