Anyone else feel an invisible barrier between a Defender and player w/ the ball ?

When Im on defense and I try to body the ballhander, it feels like I get pushed off by some shield or barrier. Sometimes I will get an animation when the ballhandler pushes me off but mostly i just get pushed off.

If anyone else has felt this, is there a slider to increase the contact so I dont just rub off fast PGs?

I've definitely felt this. I'm new to Live so I'm getting used to everything. Are you using defensive assist a lot?

To me it feels like if you are using defensive assist it keeps you off the ball handler. What I to do is try and body the ball handler at all times without defensive assist if it's a shooter like Mo Williams.

I only tap the defensive assist button (RB or R1) to keep myself from sliding around while trying to stick on the offensive player.

Also I believe it's easier to get up and tight with the offensive player if you approach them at an angle, either to the the left or right. If you approach them at an angle, get up close then you can kinda slide up to square up position in their face for a sec before the forcefield pushes you back.

I haven't tested any of this so I could be wrong.

is defensive assist button (RB or R1) similar to Lockdown D in 2k? I try to lower the slider tonight and see what happens.

The defensive assist in 2k is a little different than the lockdown in 2k. Basically the defensive assist lowers the sensitivity of your movements on defense so you aren't sliding all over the court. I like this concept, but it does seem to create an invisible forcefield between you and the ball handler.

It's hard to get up close and personal with the ball handler while using it.
