    Late game management

I just played an excellent game, Cavs vs Spurs in San Antonio. I remember a thread earlier that the late game AI left a lot to be desired, but in my experience, between this particular game and a few others, I'm finding the late game AI exceptional.

Case in point, the spurs were down 9 with less than a minute to go. Marv and Steve say they need quick 3's... Well, they throw the ball in at half court, and launch a 3 within 4 seconds. Goes in. Next possession, down 6, they launch another 3 within 4-5 seconds, miss... Bonner gets the rebound and DOES NOT go back up with it. I know, it surprised me too.. haha. Instead, kicks it out to Ginobli who misses another 3. They foul.. I go up by 10... They give it one final 3 point toss with 28 seconds to go, I pull the board, and watch time expire.

Now, this is on cabrillo24's sliders, with Agility edit and Vertical edit. Excellent, excellent experience.

I know that Pared had a bad experience with the late game AI... But I've had quite a few tight games come down to the wire in the last week... and the AI has been exceptional during this time.

I feel the same way too. But I would welcome some bad decisions every now and then because how many real life games have we all seen where after those last few precious seconds are gone you are there scratching your head saying WTF was that all about?

Only takes a couple of minutes since you can change the whole team at the same time. Just reduce everyone's agility by 45 and their vertical by 40.

This is the issue, except in this case it isn't a issue because you need quick shots. The AI takes those same quick shots when they have a lead with minimal time left.

The default roster is always the DNA roster so you have to save a separate one to keep the edits. In this sense, if you want the up to date roster with the edits, then you have to do it everytime. The DNA updates don't start for another two weeks though so its not an issue yet.

Also, it looks like the patch is going to have some form of agility/vertical edit in place so it won't be a year long thing.

Seems to me they could keep the current ratings but cut the backend number in half (i.e. a 90 vertical rating would be a 45, 76 agility would be a 38, and so on). Of course, I don't know how that all works, but the edit does so much for the feel of the game.

I havent experienced that. The AI holds the ball vs me.

I've seen it both ways. It's actually kinda baffling. I don't know what determines when they play smart and hold vs. taking bad quick shots. Most of the time, I don't feel they do the wrong thing out there late, but then there's occassions when you're just like "huh?" lol.
