1) Try Baseline high cam b/c the right stick is NOT camera sensitive. When you try from this angle and press back on the right stick, the player will step back etc.
2) Run your offense with your quick plays to go to a player that you want to score
3) On iso plays, if you have a quicker player against slower defender
a) back up to the three point line
b) take note of which hand your ball handler is dribbling (Ex. right hand)
c) right stick in opposite direction (Ex. quick crossover to left hand)
d) if you blow by (does not work all the time) press the turbo button and this
the most important part:
1) YOU MUST LEFT STICK AND PRESS THE SHOOT BUTTON IN THE
OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF WHERE THE HELP "D" IS COMING FROM (This is
what EA calls layup solutions)
2) The player will then go into an animation for a hop step or euro step for
an easy bucket, foul, miss, or block (Da_Czar spoke on this and as you
play you'll begin to notice that you won't see the same contact
collisions everyone is saying they see all the time)
e) if you can't get around him take a step back jumper or one of those
momentum jumpers to get yourself separation. Also you might want to set
a pick to get some separation from your defender.
4) YOU MUST TAKE GOOD SHOTS!!! You can go to the hole all game but the
defense will adjust and pack in the ;ane so you must vary your offense.
When the jumpshot is not going down go to the hole and vice versa. TAKE
GOOD SHOTS!!!!
When you do these things the game will open up for you tremendously. These "layup solutions" and the simple crossover to the non ball hand have changed this game for me and put it on another level. You can also pass out of the potential layup if help "D" comes over to get your man a easy shot on the blow by.
