TO DUNK IN TRAFFIC OR TO NOT DUNK IN TRAFFIC
My only question is when to decide to dunk or when to try a "layup solution"? Is this dependent on their vertical, layup/dunk aggressiveness? I do not know.... but I do know that i hate getting my dunks blocked...(lol)

Should be blatantly obvious that you have a lane to the hoop if you're going to try and dunk, unless you're LBJ or Josh Smith, etc."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

But what about a defender realizes that you have a free path to the hoop and he comes over to contest in the paint, when should I try to dunk? or try the layup?Comment

Well the situation you're describing doesn't fit into the "blatantly obvious lane to the hoop" as I mentioned above so I'm attempted a layup every single time in that situation, or a quick pull up."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

If it's a stud like LBJ then I try it. Hopefully we'll have a better idea in terms of strategy after the patch when more fouls are occuring. Right now I'm in favor of taking layups because there's less chance of a collision animation in comparison with a dunk."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
