    sooo close to returning this

dont get me wrong, this game is fun as hell to play but i am so ****ing close to snapping. I've played 6-7 games on All-star and even Pro combined and have yet to win one. NOT ONE. I'm not a ****ing ******, the game will be within 5 points the entire way. UNTIL THE 4TH ****ING QUARTER. Then I go 0-10 and the computer catches fire and what went from a 2 point game is all of a sudden a 15 point game in 2 minutes. It's ****ing ridiculous!!!! This has happened in every single game, and its gotten to the point where I know the exact moment when they get the momentum and i cannot do anything about it.

unless someone can offer tips to help me, i dont know what the **** to do besides return this and **** around and wait for MW2.

The team i've played with is a fantasy drafted team if that matters: Eric Gordon/Larry Hughes/Anthony Randolph/Blake Griffin/Etan Thomas.

      Jason
I had the same problem in the beginning but after some games I manage to play better defense, run proper plays on offense and no stupid mistakes as I did in the beginning.
I play on Allpro 12 min.

There was a thread about positioning when you play on ball defense, could not find the thread now but it helped me.

Had my first big (15 point I think) win yesterday.

      Stay with it.

Try some of the sliders in the slider section. I'd recommend either left4dead's pro or cabrillo's all star sliders. Someone also suggested changing the defensive settings which imo helps a lot and don't be afraid to use the defensive assist button.

I played a game with cabrillo's sliders and I lost by 22 against the Magic. I was down by 30 points at one point but I didn't feel cheated during the whole game. They were just raining three's like in real life.

If you're still losing and getting frustrated I'd say return it and get something you enjoy. No point trying to make yourself like a game.

BTW, that team you're using looks like **** haha.

Execution down the stretch and contesting shots will usually net you the win if it's close. I play with Boston, so i really go to my bread and butter plays down the stretch...specifically a pick-n-roll with Ray Allen

After playing online, you have to learn to adjust your game. I'm playing with sliders and updated rosters though

the cpu makes crazy run on me, but i make crazy run back, they beating me by 12, i came back to lead by 4, then they lead by 2 with 12 secs left, i got fouled, dwight missed both free throw, i keep fouling to stop the clock, end up losing, the game is as realistic as REAL BALL already, i m planning to move to superstar soon...

              Yep, return it.

Just kidding. If you've been reading here since the game was released, it takes a fair bit of time to deprogram yourself with this game. Might just one or two things you're still doing the old way that is hurting you still.

It's tough to say. I'm the other way. Didn't even have trouble on superstar in the beginning and right now, I've had some amazing battles on all star. It ebs and flows. Sometimes you're on, sometimes you're not. I love that.

Stick with it. Forget how you've played past Live's or other games and if you're struggling down the stretch in the 4th, try and find out why and try something to rectify it. If the other team is hot and running, slow the ball down. Time outs, iso your superstar. Try a methodical approach. If it's a slow slug, try and improve the pace.

You'll figure it out but it takes time.

There is no comeback AI. If you are being run and and missing shots, you are doing something wrong.

change the tempo of the game..and make sure you are playing to your players DNA...slow down and dump the ball into the post to Griffen. Isolate him on the high post/elbow area..and read the D.

Also, get Larry Hughes, the hell off of the court, and replace him with a spot up shooter .

Play inside out ball with Griffen..learn to use off ball control to spot up for mid range jumpers, and also to send cutters to the hoop, and you'll be just fine.

The difficulty of this game is what keeps me coming back for more. You really have to focus and play smart the entire game.

Funny but Hughsie has been my big player in my mini dynasty, averaging 22 a game and one of my more consistent guys. But yea i agree on your tips

I have a motto for NBA Live 10
"When they make a run, walk".

Meaning, slow it down and think, don't knee jerk stuff.

I would hold on to the game untill you have tried the gameplay once the patch is released. The CPU is benefiting from some of the problems that are being patched. Also try some sliders out that are posted for the time being untill the patch arrives.

Re: sooo close to returning this

It was the same way for me the first week, so I can relate. Sportyguy said a mouthful though, once i slowed down (e. stop running and gunning and slowed the tempo) ran some plays and practiced Off-ball control I was able to create some mismatches and put players where they are most effective. Then I was able to win a few. I play with the Nets by the way, that's a challenge in itself.

I still lose but know i know I can win if I execute on both ends of the floor. This is the thing I love most about this years game, I know why I'm losing. It doesn't feel like the CPU is cheating.

Also, don't be afraid to change up your defenses, and use the defense assist button in conjunction with the right stick to anticipate some of the CPU's moves. It feels like if you counter defensively with the right stick correctly, you will get rewarded.

                        keep at it
