Is Dynasty really that bad??

I have been playing this game for about a week and love the gameplay.
From what I read, dynasty mode isn't very good.
I guess I don't need a real deep dynasty but need a few things.


Is there good player progression, based on play on the court?

How are the sim stats? (don't care about score of the games)

Do teams play like themselves?

Are the best teams winning in the playoffs with the occassional upsets?

i noticed after three years teams look totally different.

knicks had dirk and then garnett in straight years.

garnett was averaging 8.7 points per last i looked

during my stephon marbury experiment i saw a llot
player progession is good for sure

It works for me but I am not really a dynasty supporter.
I like to play challenging games and have reasonable progression and it provides that.

One thing i absolutely hate is that u cant get your auto subs to work on 8 min quarters. There is a rotation option but once u are playing less than 12 mins it wont work and ur starters will play the whole game.... TOTAL BULL CRAP because the other game has had the option for auto subs to work on any amount of time u set the quarter limit to for a while now.

I haven't tried it out, but I guess stats are off a bit and there are some horrid trades, but there are horrid trades and statistical anomalies in real life. You just need a good imagination to get around it for dynasty mode and if you prefer an up to date authentic sim experience there's dynamic season.
