When I read this from a guy whose name is "NBA2k8 CHAMP" I immediately wonder why he even bothers to visit this forum.
A) I doubt you've even played the game
B) If you have - and call it an arcade game - it's time for a visit to your optometrist.

I am so sick of the fanboys. Both games are solid efforts this year.
Both also have their weaknesses.

To call either an "arcade" game is ridiculous to the extreme.

If you love and are dedicated to 2k basketball, great. It's a damn fine game and worth the love. Go back to your forum.

This was from the demo thread but bears repeating:

Seems like several of you are having trouble playing defense... so I'm gonna throw this out there.

A couple of guys have mentioned it already, but you really can't play defense in Live 10 like you have in past basketball games. When you're guarding a good ballhandler, you CAN'T crowd him. Learn to gap him and play the angles. Don't reach and just focus on staying in his driving lane. If you have a slower defender, bring help. If you have to, hold RB and let the AI help you get in optimal position. But when the ball handler goes, let go of RB and manually D him up because if he tries to cross you up while you're using Defensive Assist, he probably will. But either way, gapping your check and cutting off the angles are VERY important to being successful with onball defense this year.

Its pure arcade ball.

I like offline thats why I still have it!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with playing Online games. They have the best connection. And if your playing against some joker who wants to just run and gun. You shut him down with defense and make him miss.

I have a 2-6 record online, because the 6 losses were due to quick games against cheesers. You can't stop cheesing online, but you can limit it, by finding a way to shut down their key players. Cause them to foul, and foul them out. Or give them hard collisions and make them miss.

Otherwise stick to the lobbies, and to playing against friends. But to say this game sucks based off user controlled issues is just insane.

From an A.I. stand point, Single player etc. This game is just fine. My only real beef with the game is that the season sim scores are just terrible. I mean I simmed 5 games and the scores were like 54-41, 60-55, etc. Now that sucks.

But the game on the court is nice.

I suspect our best bet is Saturday ... and I'd love a game.
