    MSG

    I know they can't call it Madison Square Garden, but couldn't they call it the worlds most famous Arena. I feel it is disrespecting the arena by calling it New York Arena.

      why won't NBA Games use the MSG name anymore? EA has it for Fight Night so what happen?

              They had it in live 08. They were even allowed to say live from Madison Square Garden if I'm not mistaken.

                                      Fight Night did not have the MSG rights, but the new york arena looks exactly like it. Live doesn't have the rights either, but it seems like just a name as it looks very similar.

                                              College Hoops 2K8 only had the MSG rights for legacy mode games where your team made it to the final two rounds of the Coaches vs Cancer preseason tournament.

                                              Prepatch you could select MSG from the arena select screen prior to any game but sadly that was removed when the patch came out. I always joke that there had to be some downside to that patch since it was so amazing, unfortunately us losing out on MSG had to be it. I really loved being able to play my Big East Tournament games there in legacy too.

                                              NCAA '09 had MSG for the Johnnies and the Big East tournament, hopefully it stays in NCAA '10 though I doubt it will if it's not in Live '10.

                                                      NHL 10 makes reference to Madison Square Garden. I, too, wondered what's up with it not being in Live. I just take it as a sign LeBron won't go to New York.
