Is this only in Online? Becuase I tried to do this with Deron Williams on offline and I shot like 1 for 20 lol.

One guy was trying this with Wade on me online but I kept blocking him with Noah.

Does it really matter what level you play on? Live even recommends All-Star. I don't really care what level I'm playing on no one should be able to shoot 55% on 27 attempts. I can barely get Ray Allen to shoot clutch 3's and this guy is shooting like he's Larry Bird in his prime... smh

versus a human opponent its very important to play on Superstar if you want to limit the nonsense...If you want to see step back 3's and goofiness play on all-star

it don't matter if it is all-star or superstar....the step back is a glitch so it works no matter what you do....beluba said on his twitter that it is getting patched....so when the first patch comes out we should all be happy b/c that kind of stuff won't happen no more.

at the same time it is less effective on Superstar...So along with playing on Superstar try to play people you know prefer simulation as opposed to arcade

Come to think of it, I've had quite a few guys nailing 3's like this with Kyle Korver! If you're playing someone who picks Utah and they replace Korver in the starting lineup, you might as well quit at the lineup screen.

But anyone who says it's hard to score online (MINSTA) is crazy... lol. I mean, in the beginning it was different, but it's a pretty simple game.

So you can't throw crazy thread the needle passes anymore? The give and go w/ offball control is money. Also, it's money to pass it to one big man then hit the trailing big man. Like so, pass to PF, switch to center... dive to rim ( using some intelligence so that you don't run into someone) pass, dunk. I've been experimenting with this offball stuff and I think that's pretty much the best way to win this side of 3 point glitching.

You just have to think one pass ahead... it's fun, though, to absolutely own people who try to run zone or don't understand defense.

The long and short is this...If you play on Superstar...you will see Less of the nonsense...Bring your mouth and your game online and lets test it out...You can shoot step backs all game and aI'll guarantee you I will lock it up...I never said it wasn't a problem FOOL...I said its LESS of a problem on Superstar so while your sitting in a non-sim lobby looking for a sim game stop whining like a lil girl

Send me a ffriends request (See FT in Online Lobby) and we can play a game and do nothing but stepbacks on superstar just to see how effective it continues to be on that level

Why are there never more than 2-3 people in the SIM "No Cheese Lobby"???...thats wone thing that I don't understand...EA makes a lobby and calls it sim and a"No Cheese and I swear the only people in that Lobby are me and maybe 2-3 other guys from this forum...Where are the rest of you guys playing? and why are you not in the sim lobby???

On All Star you can dribble into contact more often...throw passes thru traffick more often and clearly hit the step back at a much higher rate...Why not go to the sim lobby and confirm or debunk that the problems are the same on any level instead of playing on All-Star in a non-sim lobby then complaining when some fool rapes the game

He said it would be addressed in a Patch..Please show me a quote where he confirmed that it was a "GLITCH"...At best its a programming error and not a glitch...You may want to learn the meaning of the terminology you use before you go out blurting that word.

A Glitch is in a videogame is something that you can do 100% that is abnormal or not realistic. If people are hitting the step-back 100% of the time and the step-back is abnormal then its a glitch...But if its simply falling at a rate that is too high its more of a AI programming error as opposed to a glitch. Thats just my take on it...But again please post the quote where Beluba uses the word glitch

Not sure if anyone of you can confirm this.

But, I've had a few guys do this on me as well during 1 on 1 ranked games.

What I found with the last two people that I played was that if I timed my jump to exactly when he was shooting after the step back, he missed. Pretty much every time.

Before, I would just man up and let the automatic contest kick in. That didn't work. Then I tried just letting the CPU play D. That didn't work. Double team. Didn't work.

It wasn't until I played manual D, and actually hit the "Y" button with good timing that guys consistently missed. It's actually pretty easy to have good timing because the step back lets you know that he's about to shoot.

I started doing that late in a game against Billups and did it again against someone using LeBron. And it worked. Both players shot horribly.

Not sure if you all have tried this. I haven't gotten a chance to see if it works against other people. Or if it was just because I got lucky those two times.

But it may work, and can help some of you until the patch releases. That is again, if it actually works.

Look people i made a post about this issue a while back. SIM PLAYERS NEED TO SUPPORT THE SIM LOBBY AND STOP CRYING WHEN YOU PLAY RANDOM CHEESERS ONLINE! THE SIM LOBBY IS FOR US. EVEN AFTER THE PATCH PEOPLE WILL FIND SOMETHING NEW TO CHEESE EX. OFFBALL LOL SO SIM LOBBY PEOPLE. MY TAG IS ECWORLDWIDE IF ANY SIM BALLERS WANNA ADD ME.

I remember reading on here one day that the step back jumper was being a abused, but never experience it for myself. Sad to say, A cheeser used this jump back shot with chauncey billups he shot 55% just off of 3 pointers. I cant believe live would release this game with people able to shoot such high % from the step back jumper.

The other night I played against the heat and another guy lit me up with Wade for like 30 on nothing but step back jumpers. I thought nothing of it because it was wade now I know it is something people use online to cheat so I'm asking live to please fix it.

I took pictures so no one would question if i was telling the truth or not.

lol ya i've definitely played this guy and to make things worse our connection wasnt great when i played him so i couldnt even time his shot defensively to contest it well...but ya its really cheesy
