I'd also like to get better differentials between the "stronger" point guards in the league as well as the better rebounders...that alone will make a big difference in gameplay

I'm also going to come up with a short list of Franchise players and then All-star players from the past 3 years

If you guys want to help with the list start posting players that fit that description only for right now. They'll be the 1st guys we work on seperating.

Good luck with the project PM. I've used your suggestions and edits over the years when Live wasn't anywhere near what it is today and you've always made the game playable.

I'm sure the game will be much improved at the conclusion of the project.

BTW, did you see that on Mike Wang's twitter they are looking into the agility ratings at 40 across the board? He mentioned that he wouldn't make everyone the same but they are looking into something.

Thing is, can you keep the ratings adjustments even after the DNA downloads?

Thats what im wondering because you'll only get partial benefit if that is the case

Yeah i think it's smart they are patching the agility already. I agree players should be lowered but not all the same rating.

I think they are patching foul frequency aswell so that is something else we don't need to touch via ratings.

I'm only looking at 3 possibly 4 global ratings at the most. Everything else is going to be hands on INDIVIDUAL PLAYER ratings so we can get more players to perform and react a little more realistic.

I'm loking at ways to actually compliment the players DNA ratings this year. MIxing DNA with a form of ratings compromised from 82games.com i think will really enhance this game furhter.

As for the playbooks I'm going to fire up some playoff games from last year since i have alot of games on tape and see if i can tweak the playbooks a little more.

You'll still get dna once you start a season. But if you download a new roster update it will overide the changes on the roster file.

Right now i'm looking at waiting until the 1st dna roster update hits along with the patch and then began the ratings process. If anyone wants to make these changes during any dna updates during the season they can be manually input the information at any time later.

I'll have a thread with all changes listed and mostly monitor players during the actual NBA season if further edits need to be made made.

Though we can't totally stop things from happening, i'm pretty sure we can at least limit certain things from happening too often.

For example, take Eddie House for example. He's primarily a shooter, who is able to take care of the ball at times but never as the primary ball handler. So he should have decent ratings in those areas, but that is it. His current ratings are way too high for offense in the post (where he should be close to 0), offensive and defensive rebounding, and contact shots. He's currently got a 40 rating on contact shots, which is still much too high for a guy who only drew 20 fouls all of last season. Then his likelihood for shooting is off, as he currently has an 80 for 3-pt and 50 for mid-range. BUT, in real life he actually attempts more mid-range jumpers than 3's, 2 percent more to be exact.

So as you can see, there are just a lot of little things that i've noticed need to be tweaked on the game, and will probably only be recognized by hardcore nba fans. Before we release a roster file, i'd also like to make sure we have player contracts correct and there are lots of position changes needed.

Playmaker, i had an idea about clutch ratings. Though i haven't tested it, i'm guessing we could simply correspond the players clutch win percentage to the players clutch rating. Though each will have to be adjusted because of the other players on the floor, we at least have a limit of what the rating couldn't exceed. Not sure if that'll work, i'm just thinking out loud
These are exactly the kind of idividual player ratings i'm looking to make.

This game has tons of potential already and those little type of things applied to individual players will help the game immensly on the court.

Clutch rating is one of the ratings i think definetly needs reduced especailly for most of the bench players and non-scorer's i've seen.

I think ESPN tracks game winning shots over the years from players. I'll have to look it up and think of a formula to use

Mainly players that are doing things that they simply do not or cannot do. Spencer Hawes crossing people up? Roy Hibbert running the floor like a gazelle? Andrew Bynum acrobatic spins and dipsy-doo lay-ups? Derrick Fisher being ultra aggressive and taking the ball to the basket.

Some of this stuff DNA should take of. However there needs to be some major tweakage when it comes to the bigs and their skill/athleticism.

PM again, you guys will be missing out on the benefits of half of what you're talking about by not getting the changes in DNA throughout the year.. likely missing out on rewind games, etc...

This can only work by using it in dynasty mode or not DL any further DNA

You guys pretty much okay with doing that?

I would love to help....but I agree with Dre completely.

There's basically no point making roster edits as you can't use them with the DNA.

You also can't use them with 'Dynamic Season'...which is pretty much the only way I am going to play LIVE post patch.
