This would be my #1 tip to anyone struggling on offense...besides utilizing OBC. I forgot who mentioned this, but the day I heard it, it opened up the game for me....You can control so much more on the floor without mashing turbo down...

Try using turbo simply for "fast breaks" and aggresive finishes when the times appropiate....and see where it gets you

This makes so much sense, even in a realistic basketball perspective. Coaches will always tell you, Change of speed and change of pace are so import to this game, and if in Live, you're always running around with turbo and forcing the issue, more often than not, you'll be, to coin a phrase for Laker announcer, Stu Lance, OC (out of control).

This is so key, on defense too because your players momentum is even more important on that side.

I don't think I even touch turbo on defense except to close out on a wide open shooter. Heck without turbo the momentum of the players can be hard to control.

I hope an agility adjustment will be made for this because to me the player movement should be more precise when you're not holding turbo. Either that or you should be able to adjust the sensitivity of your controller, almost like games from the shooter genre.

I never could get into the OBC. Having everyone just start standing there... kind of made it "meh" for me.

Yeah, I only use turbo to recover on D, open court opportunites, or if there is no resistance at the rim.

Otherwise, I just leave it alone.

Think about how much it sucks playing hoops with someone who is going a million mph, and dribbling with their head down.

over use of turbo is the same thing.

I also love off ball control. handy feature.

I love playing guys online who just mash turbo up court with whoever gets the ball. Call a quick double and you can easily force a turnover if they try to turbo through it.

In the half court I only use turbo when I have an open lane or for a strong finish.

I do wish this game had a better in between game though (floaters, runners, etc.) I find guys like Paul, Brooks, TJ and other vertically challenged players get blocked too easily in the lane.

Really? I take control of someone off the ball and everyone else just stands there, at least until the patch.

I don't see what way you can "use it" that won't have your players standing around.

Yea that's pretty much it right now with the exception of calling for off ball screens. I like it a lot off-line. Online it might do more harm than good.

This is only if you initiate off ball control as your first action. If you call a play and use off ball while there is other movement, like a post up or a screen, you'll be pulling a weakside player and using the strongside action as a decoy.

Another thing people need to realize is that you can do a lot off the dribble with just the left stick. I see a lot of dudes trying to be Hotsauce with the freestyle control and it doesn't work out too well most of the time.

So if you call a play, they keep running it? I don't remember any passes being made; I recall the PG just dribbling there until I called for the ball with some other player.

I'm the same way. I just can't get into OBC.
Maybe it's because I'm old and set in my ways or something.
