so I tried it out...
...play baseline high...courst is just like a coach board :-) ...you can see the movement way better then in broadcast...guard the ballhandler...like TP9 I played yesterday...I know him from playing so you can miss his dna...you shouldn't but you can...and play him that way...same for the others...like manu...make him shoot the ball...r-jeff and so on
If you play the game controlled...so don't get upset by a run of the cpu...stay focussed..***n your plays...play good d...and you'll be rewarded...!!!
I also thought that live has no good d...and sometimes guys in the paint won't contest any shot or go for the rebound...but all in all you can definetly play good d.
one more hint...use the r-stick...to contest or to strip the ball...also to play the passing lanes (lob-passes in the zone could be yours if you have guys with long arms like ariza)
