Body contact eliminates any fast break points.

For me atleast anytime Im on a break or have 1 on 1 or a 2 on 1 situation my player with the ball gets stoped at around the free throw line and pushed back when contact is made instead of being able to take it to the hoop.

Maybe theres a slidder i missed for this but this is why theres no fast break points or good drives. Im sure im not the only one that notices this.

you should go in dynasty into practice mode and work on the fastbreak offense.

I have no issues doing fastbreak dunks or layups for that matter

Ya Ill try that I guess and see if theres something you have to do, but Im prety sure the body contact is to over done and like Previous Live games it stops your path to the hoop and you cant even attempt a layup or dunk.

Body contact is not overdone in this game. You can fastbreak plenty in this game... sound like you need a little practice and that mode should help you alot

Just imagine if someone was between you and the hoop in real life, would you be able to lay it up or dunk the ball without any contact? Nope, you'd have to either drive past them at an angle or do a spin move, both of which you can do in this game. There are other options as well, just don't play thinking that you can dunk over everybody in the game. My favorite thing to do is just stop and pull up for a jumper, since most defenders will still be retreating back towards the hoop.

Game doesnt allow you to take a angle and lay the ball up on a 1 vs 1 and thats my problem. Any contact at all stops you dead in your tracks or pushes you back. If I run full speed at someone at the hoop and touch them Im not gonna go backwards.

            Very unreal.

I agree that at times it can be unrealistic but there's definitely ways around it. You should use the off ball controls more b/c just trying to dribble through a fastbreak doesn't always work.

But it does!! Thats what the left stick is for. You have to move it away from the defender. I thought like you for the first 2 weeks I had the game then I learbed how to use the left stick.

Yeah, sometimes the game simply takes away you ability to take a angle with defensive sliding at times...and ive all but mastered lay up solutions....

shouldnt have to work as hard as you do with Kobe in a one on one situation with Earl Watson though...

Once again, start your layup much earlier, hell you can start it from 18-20' out on a fast break. Just press up/left/right on the stick and the shoot button and you'll be fine. You'll see all kind of crazy lay up, hop, spin, etc animations I bet you haven't seen yet.

I recommend using the Baseline High cam to get used to this, it's hard as hell to learn on the broadcast cam imo.

Exactly!! Say you are coming down the right side of the court and the defender is forcing you to the right(away from the lane), you simply move your stick to the right and push the shoot button. This will allow him to make a move(hop step, euro hop, etc.) without getting bodied up. The better players(like Kobe) will score or get fouled 90% of the time.

is it still possible to make floaters with players like parker or paul ?
if yes how do you perform them ? When i press the stick away from the basket, they usually make a step back jumper

its a shame they cant program " diva-ism" and being scared of being postered into live then fast breaks will be super realistic because guys play to their ratings they wont always give you the lane like the over paid divas in the league....

IMO its not broken, just random maybe

I definitely disagree with this. The body contact seems so random, sometimes a player like Kobe will come through and dunk right over two people, the next time he'll take off the same way and his shot will get changed mid-air into some ugly contact animation. It seems like you have to take off from some kind of "sweet spot" just to get a shot off with no contact.

There are no sweet spots, there are all kinds of runners and hopsteps and layups in this game... You just have to figure out the right timing.

I know you might be used to running into the lane and jumping for a dunk at will but that simply is not realistic.

While I think ratings should be adjusted, what youre dealing with comes with time
