    I haven't even bought live10 yet,Ive had problems with the other game,but not as many as ppl r saying there is...I'm def picking up live10 eventually,but this sounds like I'm better served to wait n pick it up later this yr.

      My advice would be for you to wait a few weeks and see if some of the bugs can get worked out. If that happens then I say go for it, but as of now there are some game-killing bugs.

              So, if they haven't even got "permission"...if they are still "Waiting", then the ETA for a second patch will be about 2 months.

              Surely they can't be sitting there waiting for some CEO in a suit to say it's "okay" to fix up a badly messed up product?

              I just don't get the whole software industry thing...I can't think of ANY other type of business where you could release a faulty product and just stay silent while your consumers are left in the dark about whether you'll even bother to fix the problems.

              Imagine if I took my car in to be fixed, under warranty. If i rang the car yard and the guy there said "maybe we will fix it...check our website in the next 6 weeks."

              Surely these companies owe it to the guys who've paid $$ for their products to not leave them in the dark?

              Some of you guys need to just take a deep breath and relax. We're the ones dealing with the OT bug, not you guys!

              Like I said, when they know, you'll know.

              As for your "no other industry comment?" There are TONS of technological companies that turn a blind eye when there are issues: Apple, MS, HP, Dell... I could go on for ages.

                why are the online lobbies all weird...The sim lobby is now optional at any level of play and Fatigue is grayed out to ON...It would be nice to hear some sort of information as to what is going on.

                    Sorry to derail, but I was a programmer for a couple years, and I completely get your view that we get off easy. I've had to visit client sites to roll out our software and it wasn't always an easy experience, as there's bound to be issues and I'm going to get the flack for it as I should.

                    Not saying that other jobs aren't hard, but like anyone not in the know I don't think people realize how hard it is to release a bug free software product. Especially with sports games where it's a 1-year turnaround whereas other genres can get away with more dev time. Add to the fact that alot of stuff was probably rewritten for Live 10 from Live 09.

                    I've worked 70+ hour weeks getting software ready, finding obscure bugs, releasing packages to fix bugs, etc... And true we don't face clients, but we sure hear it from them with requests and how much we suck at our jobs. We never hear thanks, just we should've picked it up the first time. Well, staring at 30,000 lines of code and something's bound to be missed sorry to say. So when I see stuff like devs get off easy and they don't care about their consumers and whatnot, sorry but it kind've pisses me off.

                      Fair comments. It's an industry that pays well though...and I dare say you get less verbal assaults than the girl getting abused for bringing the wrong coffee or the cold meal (neither being her fault)...or the bus driver who cops crap all day for horrible wages...etc etc...so I won't be crying any tears for you fellas.

                      It's a whole other thread though.

                        Fair enough, not expecting your tears, but just took exception to us "getting off easy". For software with million of dollars of sales on the line, we'll hear it if we fail. Sorry if I got a bit defensive.

                          I don't know if this was already answered but did you 360 guys have to re-start your dynasties for the patch to take affect? Or did it just work fine with what you had already saved?

                              Patch changes carry over to Dynasty mode.



                              I just lost to the SUns in Ot, in Dynamic season...it was a heck of a game...lots of good stuff going on.

                                I've read a lot of the threads on this board but seldom posted. By in large, I disagree with 99% of them. Besides that, very few of the comments stick to the purpose of a given thread. You have to read page after useless page to actually find a constructive comment.

                                My advice would be to play both games and form your own opinion. Also, consider that people who like the game will be generally less inclined to post at length whereas complainers like to hear themselves talk.

                                This is the best basketball game I've ever played, maybe the best sports game I've ever played. The control is unbelievable. The improvements are unbelievable. Its by no means perfect, but there's realistically very little that could make the gameplay better.
