not at all, Live exceed my expectations by a mile. by far the best basketball game i've ever played. i havent ran into any of the major bugs that other people have but even then, that's not enough to take away from how great the game really is.

This game is exactly what I thought it would be! Its not perfect but it is a solid title. A few bugs need to be fixed. We need better animations around the basket. Fix the fastbreak logic, momentum blocks then it will be perfect!

I'm not really let down b/c it is basically what I thought it would be. A lot of the issues I felt would be problem for the game this year were spot on. I feel much better about this year's Live then I have any other version.

There's still a lot of room for improvement but it definitely wasn't a let down.

I feel Live is amazing in some areas (dribble control and jump shot control), but it is flawed in other areas - mostly the passing game. Players don't make good passes and will often throw the ball right into a defender rather than trying to lob it over him or bounce it around him. cutting players will also stop moving when you pass them the ball, which defeats the purpose of them cutting to begin with. When controlling offball receivers, the offball player moves way too slow and when you pass to him, he stops moving. These are the main issues I have with the game (mostly offense/passing issues).

2k's new post controls are also very deep and quite revolutionary - Live just needs to copy 2k's post game and passing, and 2k needs to copy Live's dribbling and jump shooting.

Both games have big flaws for me and I give them both about an 8 out of 10. I'm not really sure which one I like better because they both have huge weak areas. I might just hold off and play neither game this year. Both are frustrating for different reasons.

The only letdown is probably from people who hyped themselves up into thinking this would be the end all-be all of basketball gaming.

I don't think EA or anyone marketed it as such. I think they made some amazing strides this year.

agreed 100%, LIVE as a whole this year is a big upgrade over the past years and thats what counts. It does stink that there still are some issues.

I\'m not disappointed with the game at all in general. There are some things I wish were cleaned up and things I hope will be revamped in 11 but I\'m not disappointed. What DOES disappoint me is the replies and posts that I have been reading. I dont know how a dev can address possible issues when people post, There is no fouls, Such and such never misses, such and such never this and that. Posts like these do little to no good. Posts like, Hey guys you know I hit 65% from 3 with Such and such consistently over a 5 game span, is WAY more constructive.

Seriously Fellas answer it honestly this was supposed to be thee year presentation was looking good Dynamic Dna the game play was supposed to be on point online team play had momentum heading in its favor. THEN BAM the big let down I still pop live in for a 1vs1 online game every now and then but all the bugs and glitches have ruined 10 for me how about you guys?

I understand that but you cant mention disappointment or being let down on one game because of bugs and glitches or what have you and not mention the other game...both have similiar issues that are being addressed at this moment, should I have said 2 k by name? No and I apologize I will call them the competition..Sorry to offend people with said statement..

I feel let down by all-star default level and the lack of a good practice mode.
How the hell am I supposed to practice with Turkgolu and get his shot down if the game doesn't have a legit practice mode and I can't insert Turkgolu into that stupid pre-game arena?

All-star default is a joke.

Today, I'm up 42-40 on the Cavs (using Toronto) and they, of course, hit 10 straight shots and go on a 31-9 run. Things like that drives me crazy.

Agreed also. For the most part, I think most are pretty happy with the initial product. I can say I was personally happier with the game before the dna update error, but that will change again in time. I honestly don't understand how anyone who has played nba live over the last few years, can seriously say that this years version is terrible. This year is leaps and bounds better than any other version of nba live to date. I get that there are little things that are wrong and I get that the developers didn't patch a few things they said they would, and I even get that the patch messed a couple other things up, which will likely be fixed in time.

Maybe those of you who are having a problem with this game right now, should come away with a new approach for next year....Wait until a month or two after the game is released and buy it then...It'll be a much more completed game by that time. It's obvious today's games are being released incomplete with developers using patches as a crutch and excuse to fix known problems after release. Normally I buy both games on release day, but given both games previous track records in terms of patches needed to fix problems, I made the decision to pick up live first and then wait until a patch drops for 2K and then get that. I'm glad I made that decision. I've relieved myself of the anger of having to deal with an incomplete 2k10 and so far, the wait seems to be worth it.

He is let down by this game. Not basketball games in general. He mentioned he was let down specifically by Live. Maybe he was TOO hyped for the game, for his own personal reasons. Either way, that's why he posted it here. The competition has nothing to do with this, and you're kidding yourself into believing otherwise. Why? Good question. Not the first time you've done this, either.

Either way, this really comes down to an impression so I'm locking this up. But that doesn't change the fact that you perceived his comments a certain way for a reason.

OP, use the Impressions thread from now on.
