now onto my main issue... after being impressed by the gameplay I find myself looking at the core behind the game.... my issues would be, we play these games on systems that cost hundreds of dollars, and these systems easily have the capability to play these games at 1080p and 60 framerates per second (fps)
yet NBA Live isn't done at 1080p nor does it run at a consistent 60fps.... but the one thing that bothers me most, is ok sure they've done sooooo much motion capturing, just enough actually to fool the typical user into forgetting that the core physics engine of the game is the same as they used back in the PS2/Xbox days...
and what I mean by physics engine is the thing that was responsible for one of Lives biggest flaws for a lot of years and still is although this year it's been toned down.... the dreaded "ICE SKATING EFFECT" the programming part of the game that's responsible for player movement on the court... it's still the same basic annoyances from years ago....
I wanna know when the game will be built from the ground up with a new core engine that will give us what we pay for.... I doubt it will take place in the PS3's life cycle honestly, the only way I see it happening is when the PS4 or Xbox720 comes out and makes this crap we got today obsolete and forces EA to finally make a new core engine..
