Anyone having NBA 10 PS3 Freezing in 3rd period ?

Hi Guys ,
I got this game yesterday for the PS3 and my play now games all freeze in the 3rd Quarter late .
I eventually have to Unplug the whole system to even get it to recognize the game again.
If I dont do it wont recognize the game disc on the ps3 navigation screen.
Then my controller wont turn the system on so I then have to unplug the whole system .
I deleted the demo and what not but what can this be my ps3 dying or the EA games ? as it started after I DL the NHL 10 patch , Never had this EVER happen ?
I can do everything else play demos , surf the net ect ?

Oh before it freezes the announcing both games stops while the courts sounds keep going ?
wHEN I TRIED EJECT THE GAME A HAIR DYER FAN WHEN ON BLOWING AIR OUT THE BACK FOR 15 SECONDS

I can't get it to load unless I sign out of psn network. I've tried three times. I just get the nba live logo. Finally signed off network, loads everytime.
