Shot Releases NON-Responsive Online
This is an issue. For whatever reason, the shot releases online are jerky and not nearly as fluid as offline. The release of the button does not correspond to the shot release. This throws off the shot releases of so many guys online. I release the button when it should be released yet they hold it for an extra split second and it's a bad release. It happens consistently in every game I play. The games are usually lag-free and I have a high speed connection, so I'm not sure what's causing it. It's extremely annoying though and should really be looked into.

Re: Shot Releases NON-Responsive Online
I don't know, but whenever I play online I get really bad responsiveness when it comes to the shot releases. I've mastered them offline but online it's not smooth at all. I guess it's some sort of lag but when you've really got the releases down offline and go online it's like you have to relearn the releases and take into account the 'delay'. It's horrible.
To any devs looking into it, the player holds the ball a half second longer after you've already released the button, throwing off your shotComment

Re: Shot Releases NON-Responsive Online
He's right.
I'm having the same problem and it's not my internet either. I get it on free throws too which completely sucks when games are coming down to the wire.
No big deal for me though, I play offline mostly but it is definately a gamebreaker for someone who plays online.Comment

Re: Shot Releases NON-Responsive Online
This should get moved to my thread here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ted-shots.html
Basically the gist is that there's a hitch in shot releases and they're not natural to the player's release.
Also, contesting shots makes no difference as long as you hit the hitch release.
Online forget about it, unless you have a perfect connection you'll lag enough to miss the hitch and your percentage will be based on the game's script(dynamic DNA) and not your release ability.
It is a problem that a patch unfortunately cannot fix. I hope they spend a lot of time on a feedback system for jump shots for Live 11.
here's an example, I miss more with Ray Allen than I do with Zydrunas Ilgauskas.Comment
