He's right. This blog is making people pretty salty. It caused a pretty big reaction, and a lot of people are bitter. And the bitterness doesn't just come from the fact that Live 10 clearly has it's own problems, but also the fact that 2K10 has serious problems too, leaving us basketball fans without a playable game as of Nov 1.

All he did was point out that people are being salty. That's nothing compared to what other people write around here. Leave it alone.

2K has taken this attitude for years though. ppl are quick to forget that they were the underdogs back in the 2K4/2K5/2K6 days. all of a sudden the power switched to 2K and they were flaunting it as well. #1 basketball game in every ad, posted on the cover of their game. they were just as abrasive with their marketing campaign before they held the lion's share of the market. they appealed to the 'underground' sim head who wanted something different, which included blatantly calling out the "other game". then they got on top and started pulling the same type of "coasting" ish that EA was guilty of. now EA is in 2k's position from years ago, and they are doing the same thing that 2K did, with the same grass roots approach. their marketing is not any more abrasive then 2Ks was at that time. it's just people forget about the past or don't realize how it went down to begin with. once EA is back on top, this time i see them staying there simply because 2K does not have the financial resources that EA does. 2K will be bought out within a few years leaving Live as the only option. Live will drop great games in the next couple years but once the competition is shadowed, it will do the same thing all game companies do when they hold the majority market share - coast. cut costs and steady the profits. history repeats itself. it's 2K circa 2004-07 all over again

I'm glad you have absolutely no grasp of what antagonizing others really entails.

Anyone who gets offended by a comment stating that a blog is making people "salty," probably shouldn't be on a forum like this anyway. Being a "community" allows back-and-forth commentary, and expressing one's opinion.

Expressing one's opinion can also be done without antagonizing. The fact that he says he was "stating the truth" while you're defending the comment as "his opinion" shows the inability to view the comment on a common plane.

We can continue and keep the thread on topic, or we can lock the thread. You guys make the call.

Good post. But, I think with new hardware brings inspiration for devs, and enthusiasts alike. EA has always had the advantage financially. 2K has always had the better vision. Things can always change, but 2K is far from throwing in the towel, IMO.

EA pride comes before the fall. 2k pride comes before the fall. Lets grow up and make the best sim bball game and stop wasting time with an useless blog not concerning any issues about the game.

I think the irony with these call outs is that at first the underdog came out on top and became the leader,2K, while EA became complacent and lost direction.

Now 2K is guilty of the same and roles are reversed. I'm not sure what it takes for these guys to take the game seriously and start doing their work on the programming side instead of the PR side.

With the games having such an exorbitant amount of problems the last thing you want to see is gloating.

The blog is stupid because it makes EA look like amateurs and petty. I can't believe they haven't pulled it down yet.

It's well known by now that they are trailing by a long, long way in sales compared to the other game...and this just smacks of desperation.

The way to win people back is gradually...don't even mention 2K, just get in there and work hard.

Acknowledge the patch has some flaws...and get about producing another one.

Test for bugs more stringently.

Show people you are in there busting your guts to catch up.

Release extra patches if need be...listen to people's game play flaws and fix them now.

Don't even care about 2K...what's the old saying? "Get your own house in order...".

Don't release crap like this and then go off most forums / be silent on all the bugs. Whatever goodwill they've built up is already taking a major hit.
