yall need to read those blogs that the companies released then talk about combative, its a marketing tactic hell look we are talking about this is my 3rd post in this thread thats a comm. guy's job spark debate or interest.

    why so serious ???
    who so emotional ???

and yes the game has bugs that wont get fixed welcome to gaming friends....

oh about reviews show me one that mentions a bug in a game, ex. fifa got rave reviews did they play manager mode, the other game did they really play it on HOF, this game did they play it extensively like we did.... NO
Do I understand why some people are so against something like this? NO, I don't. Do I understand why it bothers me, personally? YES, I do.

Like I said in my first post, the problem is that it just woulda been nice if the Live team spent their time communicating with the community like they had before and shortly after release. Instead they've gone off the charts and have provided NO INFORMATION. They aren't addressing any of the problems with the game or questions asked by consumers here. Instead they find the time to come up with something like this? I mean someone who has something to do with Live spent all this time looking for craigslist adds for 2k10, created this blog and felt good about doing it. It just rubs me the wrong way that they chose that path. And like I said before, the whole point of their blog is pointless....There are just as many adds on craigslist for Live 10 as there are for 2k10.

It's really frustrating that the community is looking for answers to questions such as will there be another patch to fix the problems this one created? When will the ps3 patch drop? When are they gonna fix invisible and alien players? And so on and so forth. Having said all that (and after having bought BOTH Live and 2K for YEARS now), it really doesn't surprise me that the Live staff talked the talk before the game was released and got everyone pumped up, released a good game, then the problems started and now they are gone. This has been typical of them for years.

EA should be working on fixing the no O/T bug...that would have been a better "shut the hell up" than a blog like that.

I'm embarresed to have supported them to be honest.
it's a videogame... I don't think you have anything to be embarrassed about. How mature can these guys be anyway? They make videogames for a living.

Totally unprofessional. My guess is that the Live Crew will want to have that one back. I mean seriously, Craig's List pictures? What the hell does that prove if anything? I guess they ran out of things to talk about for the blog.

Just like your opinion on FIFA 10 is subjective. Some of you guys never quit...lol. Quite humorous.

I don't have a problem with it, but then again I don't take it seriously. The companies are competing no different than KG trash talking LeBron or something like that. This can be nothing but good for the consumer as was said by others they should be motivated to step their game up.

Live has the better gameplay, but I'm still disappointed with the overall state of basketball gaming. Neither game has reached the level I was hoping this gen. Here's to hoping next gen is better.

I'm taking a break from these parts for a bit, but you are 100% wrong and it's insulting that you're assuming all of this. Especially with all of the honest discussions we've had with all of you throughout the year. Not being a prick, just being honest b/c we have feelings too (not stormtroopers homie)

                I will say no more.

PS3 Update - we've stated countless times that it's not in our hands and we don't know (LIKE ALL UPDATES)

Invisible and alien players - we've stated these will be fixed in weekly roster updates countless times

I'm not even getting into the topic of the blog though.

Both games are lacking. No need for this kind of stuff. Step ya game up to both companies. Neither game is even in consideration for sports game of the year imo. Until then keep working.

I think the blog is pretty tacky.

Frankly, I'm surprised EA would let something like this get released.

I don't think that's fair at all. That sort of behavior has been exhibited by almost every single developer here at OS, whether it be one from EA, Sony or 2k.

These companies do have a schedule to abide by. Right now, both groups are gearing up for '11, even if their games aren't "complete."

Has it been typical for EA to be open and forthcoming with pre-release info and posting responses to you question about the Live series in the past?

That's not fair. I know you guys are bright. You have to believe there is something else behind.

Remember, you work for a company and you might have to do things you don't want to do. We don't know if this falls in that category.

Heck, no one even knows if it is in response to what Ronnie from 2k said. This could've been planned for quite a while. Either way, you guys shouldn't use your speculation as to why whatever happened transpired. Just observe it as a single act and respond as such.

Think how much stephenson and Beluba were around answering questions throughout the year. Can you throw all that good will out that quickly?

I guess it's up to you to decide.

So someone in this thread asks the question "how mature do you think these guys are, they are video game developers?", and you publicly state that you're insulted by my statement? All I've done was question where you've been.

In any event, I commend you guys on the great game you put out this year, I really do. But You yourself said you're staying away from these parts for a bit. Why? I mean I get that it's your prerogative to do that, but IMO, now is when you guys should be hear the most, keeping your consumers informed and letting us know you're doing something about the problems. Sorry it hurts your feelings, but you must see how it looks negative when you guys are in here pumping everyone up for release, consumers go and buy the game, some problems arise and you guys are gone.

Last week I loved your game and I defended it as a great game, not so much anymore, and again I'm specifically an online gamer with this game, so my opinions come from my online experience. The first patch damaged the online experience. I'm hoping another patch is in the works and will make the game better. I like many other people are at a loss, looking for answers and I guess we expect them quickly. After all, it is you guys who set a precedent by making yourself available early on and answering most questions, and now your not available at all.

Marcus - you and Mike have been great all year. Being a former 2k player, I can honestly say I'm so happy I didn't buy 2k and went with Live this year. The game is seriously a breath of fresh air as 2k had grown pretty stale for me. Running sets, having guys come off screens ready to shoot... I could go on and on. The game is flat out awesome. Understand that the majority here are completely grateful that we now have a choice in videogame bball and the one year turnaround you guys had was pretty remarkable.

                              Congrats.
